how do i customize youtube?

ok, simply put. i'm a bit tired of all the really idiotic 'trending' videos. and youtube doesnt seem to learn well. subscribing seems to lend a hand to it learning, but then it just shoves that down my throat.

the 'gaming' channel is full of...a bunch of obsenities i dont want to slur the forum with, but its all garbage attention whores.. 

anyone have any suggestions for gaming content channels? i've got a few subs for the other things im interested in, but the gaming side of youtube seems to be utter filth. minecraft and boys pretending to be afraid of things or forcing laughing at fart jokes...whats the world coming to.

I've been on Youtube since 2008 and to see it fall apart like this....The Internet made me watch so many things i love slowly wither away until they're just a shadow of their former self  

If something has many views it will be recommended to you .
No, there is no direct way to influence what is recommended to you other than what Videos you "manually" watch .

I think you should make a new Account and only watch what you consider "good" Videos with that Account .
That way Youtube should recommend simliar "good" Videos to you .
But that's just a theory .

But honestly yeah, I just made a new account. To be honest I don't pay attention to pretty much anything I'm not subbed to anyway.

YouTube pretty much forced me to merge my account with my Gmail.

It's alright, I can't say it's the best but if you really dislike YT and put it in comparison you might like it more.

I'll check out this daily motion. Because ya...YouTube is just a mess.I don't know if people are creating ficticious views or what but most of the videos that are trending or recommended are just garbage. YouTube is still great if I know what I'm looking for. But I can't just aimlessly browse it like I used to, I get through something oF 4 videos (not usually finishing any) and just shut it down.

glad its not just me seeing the downfall though.
