How do you think they want to make it easier to summon people ? And i think unskilled players and players new to the game should have options to kill invaders with Summons, and Invaders dont really have any disadvantage in Dark Sousl. If you would  lose many souls + humanity (You cant retrieve) for everytime loosing as a Invader i would be ok with nerfing Coop.

I would give up my face palming gesture.
Would love to beta test, point out bugs and give input. After all, if the community speaks loud enough, bad changes will not be made. The devs wanna "hear it" , else they wouldn't beta test. Unless they really only want to test the connectivity portion of the game, then a larger pool of players other than the group of devs and their friends would give a better overall picture of the online functionality.  Either way, would relish a chance to test.

I'd give up my life to be a beta tester, because that's more or less exactly what would happen if I became one...

Easier summons to me means better online play and more questing parties (which isn't ganking btw), those who wanna gank will always gank regardless of how easy/difficult summoning is. Sucks but that is a fact.. though in fairness it's not like we don't get people who actively seek out gankers to fight aka forest hunters.
I agree.  I mean, I certainly understand the frustration of someone actively looking for a clean duel, and getting ganked all the time.  But I've always believed the game's framework was designed to make invading under normal circumstances a bit of a challenge.  Look at the tutorial involving Lautrec.  You're basically being shown that as an invader, either good or bad, the odds will most likely be stacked against you.

This is all designed to drive the necessity of coop.  People are less likely to travel alone if they run the risk of someone jumping into their game and killing them.  And if someone stands to reap a huge number of souls by invading, the last thing we need is for it to be easy.

To me, the dueling and the regular invading are two polar opposites for many people in this community.  If nothing else, the new game needs to make some repairs to the arena system, so that people who want to do nothing but fight in single or double duels can do it smoothly.  As far as the regular invaders, if they find themselves up against outnumbered situations with questing parties, tough luck.  Don't invade if they don't have the stomach for it.

I've had people invade and kill me and both phantoms I was with. Invaders tend to be more highly skilled players in my experience. co-op'r are typically less skilled players trying to team up on a boss. seems like that is generally a good balance. Sure there are gankers, but there are just as many griefers. I had a guy invade me in the undead parish. he had smougs armor. he sat there and laughed while I beat on him doing 1 damage a hit, before eventually oneshotting me.

The thing is, its not about making the game perfect for any one particular style. its about providing the opportunity to use a variety of strategies and pitting them against each other. I thought DS was very good at that in many aspects, and the changes in DS2 seems to be enhancing the various mechanics for even more variety in strategy.
