Using Divine Blessings

It's just a short survey to try to get some information on Divine Blessing use.

yes if you have em use em. but i try to only use em if i invade or get invaded and they rapith me down to no health instantly, I pop one for a second chance and if they start whoopin my assets again they clearly outmatch me so i die. i dont like it when people just popem after every hit, but thats just dark souls for ya 

No because I don't PvP and if put in that situation, I've never used them.

Yes, because of my whole idea of "eye for an eye" in PvP.

It is rare that I use my spells or pyros unless you use any.
I will grass if you grass.
If you heal with humanity, so do I.
If you heal with Divine Blessings, so do I.
If you back-stab fish me, so will I.

I am in no way saying that other people should do what I do, or that I am always doing the smart and/or justified thing, but it is usually what I do in standard invasions.

I don't use them at all, on any random character I'll only have 10-20 max (in fact I haven't even bothered to pick them up for the last year or so, so that only applies to older toons), which if I use them every few fights would still only last me 1-2 nights of PvP, then what, I run through the game another 2 times just to satiate my dependence on quick heals?  

I prefer to play without them, as they are a limited resource that I don't want to my playstyle to depend on, as it won't benefit me in the long run.


EDIT: Same goes for the Mushrooms. Limited resource so why bother with it if it's only going to last for a few fights.

I've never used one... in any context.... dun-dun-duuuunnnnn!!!!!!.... 

I used one against an invader before, I didn't think it was in my inventory but it was and I lost it forever. It's a shame because I like collecting divine blessings as much as I love collecting rubbish and pendants.

In theory it's fine to use them since there are a limited number of them per playthrough and once they're gone they're gone, although the problem seems to be that many players acquire a large amount of them through illegitimate means.

I've had many long encounters in the forest where either host or phantoms have popped 15-20 blessings in a single session and I take issue with that because I can often tell what playthrough they are on and there is no way that they could have acquired so many legitimately without doing 4-5 playthroughs.

Once again it's an example of modding spoiling what is otherwise quite a balanced item.

I'll start my post by saying I have had to fight many,many hackers whether they used hacked stats and health or hacked items.

If I am to make a quick PVP build using the method that shall not be named,I always put on DBs. The times I will use them is if my opponent(s) heal spam,spawn gank,use hacks of any kind,hornet fish or generally stuff like that. I don't tend to heal in a 1v1 fight unless I'm being fished non-stop.

I am always an invader and the only reason I will use any is because humanity is painfully slow and I will not have a chance at using it in those situations. I would love to see a hack free game but I simply will not cripple myself by not being able to keep up with the DB spammers. I'm against DBs but the state of the game in terms of hacking has made them neccessary.

I've never used them in PVP and never will.  However I will also not judge others for their over use of them in battles with me.  If I lose because of it, so be it.  I'm not really about the win, but about the battle.  If I win, I want to win playing the game without mods, dupes, etc.  It makes my victories against those that do so much more satisfying and against those who don't, guiltless.
