One hit Boss kills...

Hello folks,


I saw in Dark Souls that it is feasible to one hit kill Artorias - one of the hardest DkS bosses.

This raised a question:
Is it possible to one hit kill bosses in DeS as well? I know it is possible for sure with the 3-1 boss.

But is it also possible to one hit kill bosses like Old Hero or Flame Lurker or Meneater or False King Allant? Ok, Meneater would be very interesting since they are two of them and one would have to wait for the second one w/o any hit.

Who already has performed one hit kills on bosses in DeS?
What gear/stats where needed for that?

I'm only curious, don't think that I ever could do this.
Although I really would like to one hit kill this frustration inducing Old King Doran to finally get his fu...fancy ring!

Firestormed old hero, dirty collosus, leechmonger and phalanx on NG+2 with the kris knife, ring of mgical sharpness and old monks headpiece, didn't even need hyper mode. So yeah it's very possible.

I didn't even go magic amp at all in NG+, but the Maneaters only took a couple firestorms each I believe.

Had a guy help me in 4-2 just for fun. He had a hypered MC build and 1 shotted hero before I had a chance to get half way down the hall. I usually 1 shot bosses after I get firestorm. I've 1 shotted allant but if you not in the right spot, he can turn around quick and give you a beat down lol

What does MC built mean?

Sorry for being so ignorant but I never played any mage or faith built in DeS. I never used any spells or miricals except for one pvp built that used SC.


It seems that one only can 1 hit kill Bosses with firestorm, right?
This means it is only possible in later game and being a mage! Or are there other builts that can do this as well?

MC is meat cleaver
And NO firestorm is NOT the only way to 1 shot bosses. If you are set up correctly, you can 1 shot some bosses no matter what equipment you have. Firestorm is just the easiest way.
