Heard about this last night actually, was going to make a thread about it when I woke up but I guess I don't need to now. I'll put my signature down right away.

Yeah Serious, they always try to pass this stuff while no one is looking. I wouldn't be surprised if what they wanted was already passed as pork for some other crap. Ugh, politics gets way out of hand sometimes.

If this is passed,one can expect the counts of resisting arrest to go right up. I don't think anyone is willing to go to jail over something so stupid.

It's a horrible cycle for Music and Movie Studios, and everyday people. Studios complain they're losing money so they take drastic measures, people stop liking them and feel better about stealing there stuff, and repeat. It's stupid that youtube videos and "fair use" things like that have a chance of being "banned." What the heck man, so I can't upload a video of a wedding because it has a copyrighted song in it?  

For anyone interested in things like this, there is a book called "Pirate Cinema" about a person that lives in Britain, downloads clips illegally from the internet, and gets his family's internet access cut off for a year. The rest of the book is for the most part fighting against the government as they try to get more laws passed on the internet. Hell, most of the books by the author Cory Doctorow has something to do with politics about the internet and/or corrupt government.

On topic, going to sign it. Going to tell my school about this, all my friends, family, 4chan, anywhere that shall listen.
