Updated Xbox one OR PS4

So recently MS have upgraded their console with a CPU overclock and a GPU upgrade?

Now ive yet to hear the clock speed on the PS4 part but the X1 CPU clock speed went from 1.6 GHz to 1.75 GHz, how significant is this change?

The X1s GPUs clockspeed was buffed from 800MHz to 853MHz, again how big a deal is this change?

Sony are having money problems as it is but i believe the PS4 will help pull them out of the mud on this one.
The launch titles arent too strong on PS4 - i mean you do have games that look good coming out in a short window of time after PS4s launch and you have Killzone which is the Playstations flagship shooter, however we have yet to see a naughty dog game or a god of war game although both were confirmed to be developing but Sony are giving them time because Sony know that Naughty dog is one of their strongest devs and as for the devs of god of war they must feel the same.

In all honesty not many X1 exclusives interest me with Titanfall and Killer instinct as the exception and the PS4 games that do interest me are Infamous second son, Killzone shadow fall, deep down and the future naughty dog game yet to be announced.

As for Indies, this is tough since X1 has project spark - THIS IS A SELLING POINT, its a dev kit of sorts that allows you to make, design and self publish a game, im not sure the extent it covers but its a strong point for X1, The reason this is tough considering the strenght of X1s project spark is because Sony has most of the indie devs under their belt, indie devs who could become Sony first party devs or even AAA devs eventually - this is why i love sonys stance on indies, they see the potential and whats to gain from giving exposure to them, Microsoft were late to the party on this one.

The magic of the cloud AKA MS's Azure: I dont know what to believe here, i cant tell if MS are overhyping it or its legitimately capable of the feats they speak of, ive heard Sony can do the same thing with PS4 but obviously to a lesser extent.If anyone could enlighten me that would be great.

Im so far Pro-PS4 and im starting to see what the x1 offers but ive still got that bitter taste in my mouth of what the machine was originally conceived as.

So obviously this isnt EVERYTHING about both consoles but i might as well give some details.

So discuss.

If Sony is having money problems I don't think the PS4 will save them. Console sales tend to not be huge breadwinners for manufacturers, unless I'm mistaken on that.

Software and accessory sales that inherently go with console sales. Yes.

The ps3 had a slow install base and the other sales sucked as a result. Sony has been having better years I believe now that ps3 has caught up.

I used to work at a toy store and had access to the company purchase price for stuff. Close to zero profit margin on consoles which means the manufacturer is right there hurting too. Accessories and software sales aren't anywhere near zero profit margin on the other hand. I'll put it this way, when games went clearance just to get rid of them it wasn't a huge deal.

I feel like only one person so far has stated which console the lean towards or how they feel about the consoles.

I'm already decided on the PS4 if that's what you want to know. Nothing you linked there did much in the way to sway me. If I hear something crazy then I'd reconsider but as of now, I'm firm Sony.

Everytime i hear that MS makes a change to their system it makes me wonder if it was rushed.

I have saved exactly $0 for an Xbox One

Also my Vita is a compelling argument for Sony.

Their console division is currently the only one making a profit. It's their refusal to back out of the TV and Music market which is causing them to bleed money. I can't remember the figures but a quick Google search should show this.

how far is the range for remote play?

Not exactly a helpful post as far as deciding on one but I don't really like either console. I always though Sony did certain things a bit backwards and now Microsoft seems to be having a competition for the most useless console with them. When there is little in the way launch titles except competitive shooters and assorted casual games,my interest tends to wane.

I guess I had to speculate on which I will buy,probably the XBone and the only reason being that one or two friends seem to want to get it. I'd much prefer if the people I know simply stuck with their 360's until they actually know what each console is like,rather than what is being marketted to them.
I will not be getting either until at least a month or two after release,when I can see some reviews from people not employed by the game industry.

For Remote Play, in home is supposed to be no issue. Anywhere else in the world is possible with a good internet connection supposedly.

However, they've already expressed concern about bringing Gaikai to Europe as a result of potentially subpar internet speeds and that's the service that's running Remote Play I believe.

So in reality the best guess is "we'll see."  Since I have a vita and saving for the PS4 I'll definitely be in good shape to find out. My fingers are officially crossed

Update: My eBay listing ends in four hours and a couple bidders have started in. Only three extra dollars so far but hey, three less I need for that PS4!

For me it's PS4, mostly because I know some friends who are going to get it and I prefer the exclusives that Sony usually have over what Microsoft has. Plus the fact it's cheapter though I probably won't get a PS4 until Infamous Second Son is released.

Time for me to use my ebay account better.
