question about gwyn/gwynevere statues

Just playing through Dark Souls again, I realized for the first time that there is a statue of Gwyn and Gwynevere in the hall where you fight Ornstein & Smough. Missing is a statue of Gwyndolin.

Wondering before I do this - if I "kill" Gwyndolin, does her statue disappear, and conversely, if I kill Gwyndolin, does his statue appear?

Either way, I'm stunned I never noticed those statues before....

I'm pretty sure that missing statue is a permanent thing.

awww man. that would be WAY cool if you killed either of them and triggered their statue to (dis)appear.

Some people think the missing statue is actually the first born but it could just as easily be Gwyndolin's who had it removed to stop people finding him.

This would make sense because the platform base is higher than Gwynevere's...
Man, I hope there's this level of detail in DkSII!

shouldnt this be in the archives part of the forums.
also its always been missing would be coll with details in dks2 though
