When I was doing my HOMM III let's play, another YouTuber started it around the same time. It was among her earliest LPs ever, 20-50 sub range. Yep. Hecklers. Of course I have them too. At least it wasn't me heckling her

I think that such a negative attitude towards fextralife is unwarranted when you haven't even been on it and its intended to help preserve the wiki and forum that you use so much in the long run.

I have negative attitude towards anything that is being promoted to me. I visit this forum for anything Souls series related and with the exception of Demon's Souls wiki, this place has everything I need. As I said previously, I'd much more prefer to pay for the forums myself, or have the donate option available rather than splitting the attention to another site, or have to put up with ads.

I apologize for my harsh response. The truth is that I have a older Dell notebook, but don't use it. Before the thing can boot and start up, I already have my PS3 up and running, playing music and browsing the net. I visit only a handful of sites and after I'm done with my visits there, which takes around 30 minutes at best, I have no further use for the laptop. It's a waste of time to even turn it on unless I want to work on it. That's why I use PS3 for everything. While not as reliable, it's much faster and enables me to watch movies and play games, which is pointless for me to do on the laptop.

I've always gone by the adage don't knock something until you try it. I think it's a much better approach than never touching something just because you've been told at some point in time to go there or buy something.

The things I saw, heard and read so far were not impressive. On the contrary, only doubts and discontent with the changes are left in my mind after going through all that info. As far as the promotion goes, if I decide to buy Dark Souls 2 I will do it in my local game store, or from a friend. Definitely not through the Amazon service promoted here. In this particular case, it's the service, not the product that I'm biased against.

There IS something odd about the aesthetics of text so close to the left side of the screen. I just don't have an idea of what would actually make it look better. I wish I could be more useful in this regard.

To be honest bro, the more it gets promoted imo is good thing. You have to promote things to get people interested. If they didn't promote movies, music albums, regular commercials nothing would sell. Promoting a site that is a part of this forum and also being Fex's sister site, (I guess you could call it), is a good thing mainly because it gives THIS community, a new place to post things that we can't post here. Also, having Fextralife can also help when you use google or another search engine to look up something like game reviews etc, it also points people who view Fextralife to this site. The more it gets promoted, the better it is for both sites. I don't see the problem. I know you have a ps3 and that viewing FL is difficult but you can't bad mouth a site you've never been to. That's just not right bud. Sorry had to comment.
Now back to this topic. Fex, it's looking good but I have a suggestion. Maybe we could make a new thread, (or you'll have lots to read), that let's the members make a few suggestion on what type of widgets they want. To me, the last widget that shows Latest Topics is not really needed. Mainly because we already have a link for View topics since last visit. That widget takes people away from that link.
Important Threads is fine but it should have all stickies in it and not just 4 of them. Because all stickies are important or they wouldn't be stickies. Also, looking at the guidelines, they need tweaking. I know that E, did the chat ones 2 or 3 months ago but the old guidelines have changed since I've been here and should be revised. Not telling ya how to do your job E, just makes it easier to prove to people they exist

I don't mind the Fextralife because it seems a good opportunity for other content and parts of my life; but it's a fallacy to claim that it's going to garner the souls wiki more users, as any user that cares for this site has already came here directly, and is unlikely to find it through another tangently related site if they are seriously looking for a Souls Forum.

Meaning I did make my sugestions if you read properly
And I never said the rules need changing I said "Tweaking", meaning they need to be fixed and/or revised. There are additions that aren't there that should be added.
Like for example, the problem we have in chat with people posting pictures. That should be added so people can stop messing up the chat.

Stream should not be autoplaying - it wasn't for me last night. I have double checked the code and autoplay is set to false so should not be happening. Not sure what sort of bug could be causing it to do it anyway :/

Well I have to say I like this layout much better than when it started. I like it and can live with it. I still haven't seen any bug so I assume that is a good thing.
