No. Diminishing returns. Not worth the levels. From 40-45 you get an increase in casting speed. But if you're only gonna be using a couple spells it's not even worth the 5 extra points in Dex. It's worth it imo, when you have more than 3 spells.

I concur with Leet. 40 Dex is more than enough if you are using weapons and not magic.

Yep. 40 dex for melee. 45 dex for magic. And, that last part is debatable. If you need to sacrifice points, bring dex back down to 40, even if you are a mage/sage/pyro.
