A hack like this? I could say the PC is able to do this with ease but xbox? Well this must have required a lot of time to do. Are you sure it was a flask being used or a divine blessing the phantom had en bulk? It does seem a bit unbelievable to me.

Of come on the xbox is...Nevermind I don't want to bring up those cobwebs. Anyway I am still suspicious here with this because I have seen people and at times confused flasking with 99 divine blessing and under the nature of the forest focusing on that can be hard if you calculate distance, lighting, stress, the phantom type (white, gold) and even if it was host healing. Soul could be right that it might have been a glitch the phantom exploited. Sorry but I want images or witnesses to see this. And even then to hack that far should be rare to see and I doubt it will popular.

I'm not sure how you confuse flasks and blessings. Both make very distinctive sounds and show very different animations, and on top of that use a different amount of time.
As for popularity, you are correct
. Not much reason to use a flask when you have functionally infinite blessings.
It could even be an unintentional glitch and he was enjoying it. Phantoms get summoned as the wrong color pretty often, so what if they get a host flag or some such?

They would have to do some serious coding and know what they're doing to be able to make a phantom be able to use estus. That or somehow, someway the game got confused and the phantom was a host too.

The forest has been horrible lately. I did about 15 invasions last night and encountered two infinite health hackers with that karmic justice hacked thing and about 4 people with duped divine blessings and clearly modded gear (great scythe backstabs were only doing about 400 damage). This was on ps3 as well so luckily I could block them. But really what's the point?
The amount of cheaters is turning me off the game right now. I just really hope that the dedicated servers in Dks2 will lead to a decrease in this, it's laughable how many people are modding/cheating these days.

If I had to vainly look at the other side (hackers and such) I guess you could say boredom can be a factor. The game is old now and most people have done a lot, if not all at this point. I still hate dedicated servers but that is another topic.
Back on topic I say it is a glitch. I doubt anyone has that much time and effort to do something that mechanic breaking.

But surely it would be even more boring if you had infinite health, infinite casts of every spell, infinite stamina etc? I just don't understand the logic or mentality of cheaters. Their lives would probably have to be quite sh*tty if it becomes necessary to hack and cheat on online video games in order to have fun.
