Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
Added the Dark set again (red soapstone), Darkwraiths rank 5 must wield the Dark Hand as shield or secondary weapon (I can't think of another reward for Darkwraiths). Everyone please wear full sets when invading. I finished my SL 60 Darkmoon, it gets failed invasions sometimes.

Yes, but that would require a minimum endurance to wear it. What about those who want to be pure mages, SL 60 would require the endurance to be at minimum for increasing Int/faith high enough for spells to be effective. My endurance is 22 and it would require to wear havel's ring for 53 poise armor combination (I'm wearing full brass with crown of Gwyndolin). It's pretty complicated.

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
I'd prefer to be feared as an individual than due to a matching armor set.
If build structures are overly strict you'll find recruiting difficult.
I was ninjad but my opinion stands. I'm with wyrm.

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
I really want 1 uniform for each equipload (light, medium, heavy). For example those who wants to wear high-poise armor (heavy) would require to wear the heavy armor uniform. That uniform would have a combination of the heavy armors of the Painted World (steel, tarkus, smough's). The head of Smough with Tarkus chestplate and steel leggings/gauntlets, for example. This combination must have 73 minimum poise and must look extremely cool for the Lifehunters to wear.

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
Also the heavy uniform could have pieces from the light or medium sets, like the Xanthous crown or the brass helm. The requirement would the 53 or 73 minimum poise for that uniform. Medium uniform can have 33 minimum poise. Light uniform 0 or some poise.

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
I agree, a great setup would be
Dark mask
Armor of Thorns
BI Leggings
BI gaunts, something like that for med although my current is AoT Golem Legs and Gaunts which is a shame as it weighs light and looks awesome :L

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
But the life hunters are vanguards, guardians who actively hunt their enemies alone or in small groups to defend their charges.
Uniforms are for setinels and soldiers, vanguards use whatever works.
Thats how i see it anyways.

I agree with you Pirate, but I began to think that with so many armor suggestions, how could the other players recognized us?

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
Mask of velka. no build needs the crown and pinwheel masks are out of bounds so most headgear is vanity gear anyways, why not use the mask of velka?
If you want to keep the ranked headgear, have a list. Rank 1 gets headgear a while rank 2 gets headgear b and so on untill rank 5 which varies by cov.
Or use velkas mask ranks 1-4 and the others gear at 5.
Or let them recognise us by out ferocity. If you kill enough, you'll be remembered.
For me though, I am not content with being a guardian. I strive to have each opponent fear my approach. To have players avoid the pw on because they know I'm there.
If that is the goal of the lifehunters then our skill is all they need to recognise. Paired with more extensive recruitment (and possibly skill tests to hit ranks 3, 4, and 5 [4 being more advanced than 3 ect]) you could establish yourselves as the pws elite.

I want every Lifehunter to remember this. We also need a gesture for each kill we make.

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
Glad i could help as an inspiration.
should be lesser used..... pray? beckon?
Also i was serious on the test possibilities ie 3 is lock and counter bs 4 is pivot bs, setup parry and roll bs, 5 is blind parry. It would give real incentive to improve.
Tests against and judged by 2 separate rank 5s.
What do you think?

That's a very cool idea. Although I don't know how to do pivot BS nor roll BS. Also blind parries vs small weapons are extremely difficult.

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
Hence experienced (ie level 5) testers and judges. using clear guidelines. ie you must blind parry (hypothetically) 4 of a set of 6 weapons, something like that.
Also as leader you'd be exempt. (though learning them anyways wouldn't hurt)
Im just getting blind parrying but i've got all 3 basic bsing techniques down and i'm starting to try some fancy stuff but i can spar with you tomorrow.
I cant teach the fancy bsing yet because i'm doing it on instinct not on command so i'm not sure how to teach it. (its things like guessing their dodge and rolling just before or after so you come out of it facing their back and bs them.)

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
Okay while I want t improve my skills at parrying and such, should rank really be based on that?
It could be good, but connections would play a greater part in that than actual skill. Sure I can get a parry off against most opponents but due to connectivity it more or less ensures that one sure fire parry is missed in any one invasion.
I may have totally missed the point of what you are saying Forum. I like the normal covenant item rank up path as it forces me to work hard for my eyes.

Re: Priscilla's Lifehunters
Also our duels will involve all those techniques (parry, Backstabs). After Thursday we should reunite more days in the week for duels (like I do on Fight Club).
