    Can any1 tell me what you get on the other treasure chest on the far side at the start of Anor Londo (basically from first bonfire and to your left)...

    Can't be bothered to fight these guards as they take too long!

    the chest is a mimic. i think it drops a lightning spear when you kill it, but i am not 100 % sure about it.

    I think that one is Crystal Halberd. Lighting Spear is in Sen's. If you can't be bothered to fight them just poison arrow them from the entry way. Their eyesight must be terrible. The mimic will not be so blind however and can close great distances with his ninja jump kick.

    you can throw a Lloyd's Talisman on the chest and you can loot it without the mimic spawning.
