Why no love for the dragons?

I rarely see dragon covenant topics, so lets have one! Share tips and advice on places to get summoned, how to use the stones well and other stuff.

Any PvP hotspot works for getting summoned. I get the best luck in the painted world.


You really have to feel out your opponent when you get summoned. You have to play it cautious and be ready to get jumped at any time because people farm dragons. Not all are bad though. Many will give you gifts after doing multiple duels and I've gotten things like dragon scales and upgrade stones, even rare weapons.

As far as the stones go...
The torso stone looks cool. If you're quick you an use its force attack to deal massive damage with the damage boost. Other than that in higher level pvp there's no obvious bonus to it.
The head is great on turtles. The fire attack doesn't do much damage but can eat your enemies stamina. Combine with items that give you stamina regen you can demolish people who hide behind shields.

I love the whole atmosphere around the covenant, it is one of my favorites. It has a Sunbro-like feel to it if Sunbros were a PvP covenant. I think a cool event idea would be a king of the hill setup, where people duel each other until someone has earned enough scales for the Torso. It would be a great way for covenant rookies to reach that level quickly.

The problem is there's really no organization. There are the general hotspots such as the kiln but nothing specific for the Dragons. Also it seems that there are a lot of dragons putting eye's down, but not as many people summoning. There's a bit of an imbalance there.

I'm wondering if we have enough Dragons on the forum to start some organized pvp and have king of the hill matches.

Hey, I'm always up for duelling dragons if I see the sign. However usually I get invaded before that can happen sadly.

The dragons needed to be able to invade, or be summoned even if the boss is defeated. With the mass of darkmoon and darkwraith invaders there's never much of a chance to fight them.

Funny, I actually came here to make this post. I love being in the dragon covenant but I literally have been summoned by one guy who I was in skype with and were testing if anyone could actually even see the message.

I would LOVE to be able to get some kind of dragon ANYTHING going on around here. Just let me know where I can help PSN here.

I'm becoming a Dragon specifically for Wyrmhero's User Cov. It also seems like the most challenging Cov to work with.

If only you could summon dragons for duels while hollow. Because I would do that all the time then, that would be the best PvP experience probably to have if that were the case. I hate invasions ruining my duels.

well during a dragon bro duel theres no other phantoms. im 90% sure of this you cant be invaded while fighting a dragon bro and you cant summon hosts. dragon bro duels also have a level cap so that might be why not as many signs show up. i think its easiest to get dragon bro duels in kiln and burg(assuming you bypassed the burg) or you can put the dragon remains down in those two areas.

also the path of the dragons invasion system is realy bad i wish i could just invade like a darkwraith or at least spawn some dragon phantoms in the worlds of the people that my sign appears like gravelords realy if some1 saw a phantom drakes blocking his/her way they would summon me in

Maybe the dragons should seek something along the lines of Fight Club? They use RSS, but you guys could use it to pass around scales, rank up, and show others that dragons are still around to this very day?

indeed i show the weak that dragons still roma drs by invading and killing with my bare claws however what suprises me is that most of the people i kill ask my were i got my cool armour from and a lot of them call my a cheater n tell me that bare fists dont do that much damage... :| i love the secrecy of the path of the dragons however come on to have my message box spammed with questions and accusations is most annoying

I got 2 characters i'm trying to get dragon body stones on. Any advice to make my time go faster? Those wyrms in valley of the drake's are tanky buggers.

Duel in the kiln, that's how I get all my dragon scales.

with 10 humanity the gold serpent ring and any goosd weapon its at most an hour in the vally if yr lucky the klin methord is funner but it will take at least 1/2 a day if yr net is beast and yr realy lucky my m8 gt 30 by asking people for scales as for some ignorent people the only purpose of dragon scales is to get ther moonlight to +5 well thats wt y get when from makes a cov behind 2 secret walls in a gaint tree n makes the walk deadly + put a flying hydra at the end and then sprinkels it all with cuse dealing lizards big mushrooms and gaint clams

I actually find the walk there pretty easy, I usually just run the whole place and don't even fight anything haha. Though yeah, for a person going through there the first time that place is hell on a stick.

yeh thats what i mean most noobies are lucky if they find/find out bout the secret wall but most then try 2 kill the mushrooms then the hydra and before they even get 2 the dragon they are looking for a waw outa that place :| the 1st time i found the secret path i got cursed 2x i got killed a lot n after i got 2 the cov it took me 10x as long to get out that was the 1st week of me having drs ohh...good old days of ignorance when i still used my drake sword n fout it was overpowered with its r2 attack sometimes i wish i forgot evarething bout drs just so i can play it again

I'm a member +2, but I never really do anything with it. I wish they'd do something to make the stones worth using, but until that happens, my build has no room for dragonic shenanigans. :suspect:

yeh y dont have 2 use the stone to be a member of the path i just use cracked red to invade people n kill them in dragonoid i also use dragon only weapons if i feel like using any weapons i try to use the roar and any dragon weapon ability as much as i can to show off how gd these thing realy are. .. i dont remember the last time i wore armour i the game and the last time i got killed by some1 that eint a lagstabber... im happy ghat k see at least 1 other user that knows wt the path of the dragons realu is

Well I farmed up 30 dragon scales today. Only took just over an hour. Not a real big deal actually. My big problem before was a combination of just barely not having enough damage to make short work of em and tankiness. I just threw on full smough's armor, fap/havel's rings. Then crest shield with my murakumo. Figured out quick that two r1's staggered them which made the r2 finisher impossible to miss.

I think I died twice in the whole time. Once got pushed off the bridge by that drake (Man he is a pain) and the second death was when I switched up my killing order when I got to the three by new londo. I usually run toward the right one and running attack to two r1s. Mixed it up and it allowed all of them to breath me at once which ended poorly for me.

So long post short, it isn't that hard to get the 30 scales even if you don't have someone to repeat summon you to farm them. Just need poise and lightning resist as it's quicker to tank the damage and stun lock them than it is to try do dodge their attacks 90% of the time.

Now to farm up the last 50 scales to get to +3. Oh boy.
