What armor would Artorias wear?

I'm making a Artorias build for the 200 FC. What armor do you think he would have worn?

His shield is fully black isn't it? His sword is also partially. Since he wears heavy equipment I'd go with the Golem Armor.

Full Giants and a Mask.

I've always assumed epic big armour, like Havel's but that's kind of boring...
Maybe a mix between Havel's and Elite or normal Knight Armour?

I've studied the US box art, I'm pretty sure thats Artorias on the front. It has his sword and shield at least. I've tried reconstructing it in game. The best I've found is the elite knight armor, the golem or steel might work also. Just make sure you stay true to the build and use the wolf ring. My Artorias build used it and it was a super tank. At sl 253 though, couldn't exactly hold its own against the maxed out lightning zwiehander flipping tanks -_____-

I think Elite would suit it, but in the same way, his fellow knights ornstein and Smough use armour that is totally plated, so that's an issue with elite knight armour :|

Well i don't think its the set he's wearing, but the chest is probably the closest thing in game. I ended up using a mix of havels and golem for the extra poise. I had havels ring and the wolf ring on. I could have shaved off a few units and used the dwgr but it just didn't feel right. I had both the cursed and true GSoA and his shield with a talisman for some miracles. Sometimes I'd throw a catalyst in just for fun. I could tank most weapons, but when everyone else at the same level has more focused stats and the flip role I was wide open for backstabs.

There's my loadout just to give you an idea. Its pretty fun if someone actually wants to duel.

I kind of feel like the Knight Set.

Right now, my stats are: 50/8/66/40/40/11/40/40. That'll give me 658 AR. I can wear the Elite, Wood, and Wolf rings and still quick roll. I have 12 points to put to get to 225 for the FC.

Which Artorias do you prefer reim? Light or Dark?

Hold up, light/dark? IIRC the regular sword is better than the cursed one. Or, am I wrong on that one?

Dark Artorias could wear the DW Armor, Light Artorias Silver Knight Armor. I.m not so sure about he wearing the Dark Mask/Silver Knight Helm though...

I was thinking...What kind of armor did he wear? Medium or Heavy Armor? His ring is about poise, he had the best stability Greatshield...

Hmm. I could do both. Dark will give me more poise too. Mix it up. Dark + Cursed and Elite + regular.

Smough ain't a knight. Just for clarity. Who knows what Ciaran or Gough rocked either.

Smough is just an executioner, he was actually kind of looked down upon by most people wasn't he because of his mixing of body parts in with his own food?

That's very interesting.

I like Wyrm's idea. Since Artorias has two swords you should base your look off whatever sword you use. If you use the cursed one, which I'm sure you don't, then go all dark and cursed though if you love the true greatsword of artorias then be a nice friendly knight.

However since I'm always playing as a sinister character I'm not all that good with the hero looks. But the EKS (Elite Knight Set) is a great place to start. I love the helm and matching it with other things would work out quite well I'd imagine.

Brighter Version. I compared that armor with all the armors and I still dont know what armor is. It looks like a tattered Elite Knight Armor.
The shield is the Crest Shield, look at the stems with leaves.
