learning how 2 manage stamina, learn how 2 space out ur attacks have Patience and know how 2 read the other players moves is the key 2 victory.
Most of this stuff comes from experience. It takes time b4 u can actually do all this really well.
Note finding the build that is right 4 u will help as well

Advance tips
#1 baiting is the best thing u can do learning how 2 bait with almost anything will work great and make ur play less predictable(My Dark bead baiting)
#2 Know when and how 2 spam attack at the right times and learn how 2 hit people while there about 2 roll(tip Katana players and dead anglers)
There is another really great tip i wanna share but wording it is very confusing
