Is Demon Souls still alive?

So i recently picked up Demon Souls out of my love of Dark Souls and wanted to know if its still alive? When i say alive i mean is there still people online? is it a hassle to summon someone? Would i be able to invade people easily? Or is their not much people online? Any comments are appreciated!

You would have enough people to invade and have a laugh, but to be honest it's no where near then number of people on Dark, but would be a good change of pace going back to Demon's I enjoyed it when I played through it a month or so ago

Ya I wasn't to worried about summoning people. I've beat all the bosses in Boletaria palace and spider boss in Stonefang on my first try so I'm not to worried about summoning people. But i'm glad I can still invade here and there so thanks!

There's still activity. I am on NG+ and still get invaded every time I play.

Yeah I played 2 weeks ago, was co-oping with a friend in 4-1 and we were constantly invaded

yea its very few and far but ive got a chance to enjoy some demons pvp which i really enjoyed. i was in 4-1 on my laptop waiting for a duel in ng+ and missed the invasion notice the invader was right in my face when i realized and instead of just ganking me we bowed and he actually helped me with the level. i didnt even know the invaders could kill the hosts enemies.

Yes, plus red phantoms are ignored by enemies so you can basically just walk behind and backstab everything as a red phantom and make it really easy for the host. Probably why DkS made it so you can't attack enemies if you invade.

If I die as a blue summon, I will often invade as a red phantom and since there are less players chances are I'll get matched up with the same host I just failed. But now I can help them as a red phantom. It's funny, sometimes it works great and other times the host either forgot your name and thinks you're a random invader, or thinks you're looking for revenge for some reason. I had one guy I had to literally talk down off a ledge by promising I wasn't there to hurt him, lol.

i still play demons although i have dark souls

as for the online gaming , when i try to summon everytime in tower of latria they take me to the old monk to kill the players ,

i wish if there is a large number of people play Demons again , i didnt have the chance to play with some one , because my cousin got the europe version and i got the Asian one

Maybe i'm just unlucky, but i've played about 120 hours total on Demon's, on various toons, and i've never been invaded ever. I've also only ever seen 2 summon signs (admittedly, i was only deliberately looking for one once).

Now i think about it, i was probably way too high level for pvp or co-op (item duplication FTW), so no wonder. Still, i hadn't discovered the said glitch until my 4th playthrough or so, and i wasn't invaded then before then either.

yeah they are shuttung down all online servers forever at the end of may

Drop red or blue on the rock at the beginning of 4.1. Every night from now until May 31there will be tons of people on fighting in that spot. There has been 8-16 people in chat every night since I picked it back up late last week. Also, see my post for demons souls fc from here over the next 6 weeks. We will start this sunday night, but hopefully we have some every night:)
