New Event 'Cleanse the Kiln'

Anyone think this would be a good idea? Everyone would be welcome to participate!!

Details:

Full on assault of the kiln to tame the gankers!!!

The event with be April 28th starting at midnight eastern of the 27th till midnight eastern of the 28th

Please use the full Black Knight armour set or the set with iron golem gaunts/boots if you need to poise out higher so you can be identified by other participants. If not point forward or up but set is prefered.

NOTE: Priscilla's Lifehunters will be participating in this event and they wont be wearing BK gear, but they will be pointing up before and after fights so if your hosting and you see a point up they are your allies!!!!

There will be darkwraiths/DMB's/gravelords invading and cursing and others hosting and using RSS to summon participating phantoms. If your hosting summon known participants from there armor setup once you have 1 or 2 start summoning whites and have fun.

The idea is to have the Wraiths and Blades invading to hopefully hit a world with 3 gankers and as they kill a phantom a participant host will grab there white sign and bring them to there justice in a fair fight. Invaders could also hit a participant host world and they can stay there and fight or BC out if there are 2 many reds!

Please remember this is a full on assualt but not a ganking or we would be no better than them so please be respectful...even to your enemys!!

How would it work?

Well it would be open to all with honour to participate as the farmers love to steal RSS at the kiln that would be the 1st way for anyone to join in or with a cracked red eye...2nd would be Darkwraiths....3rd would be DMD's as farmers are all guilty...also gravelords would be more than welcome.

Same a 'Forest of the Damned' 24hrs blitz of the kiln to punish all farmers!!!

Not sure about this one because kiln is also used for 1v1 pvp so it might be hit/miss

That's why its a poll because I am worried about the same thing...but that being said if you invade and get a good 1v1 pvp match that is what most people are looking for so to me its a win win with added pressure to the 3v1 gankers!!

Aye! The Kiln has taken the turn for the worse ever since i pvp'ed there. Cursing the area would be awsome, and taking on gankers with the assistance of Über-Knights!

But we will need a code of honor to go by. So honorable players could still have a fun fight, and perhaps recruite them for our cause

Yeah we could recruit duelers by sending a message after each duel.

LOL the Kiln has never been anything but home base for farmers since I have been there pvp'n since December as far as I am concerned. Sure every 7 or 8th invasion will land you a good duel but invading the kiln is a waste of time imo...hosting and being invaded is the only way to pvp at kiln...as they love to also steal RSS.

I think there would be a naturally occurring honour and alot of great pvp involved also as all people participating have honour and would bow ect...but it would put pressure on the gankers that camp there.

If we did this we should have everyone use a certain set of equipment so that we can tell the cleansers from the farmers.

Have a set up for str builds, dex builds, hybrids and casters.

Though 1 out of 3 invasions i used to encounter honorable'ish players, and there was a good amount of fun fights there. Might've been lucky and dodged some farmers. But now, every single time i invade i encounter only farmers, flaskers, BS-fishers...

Ya I think it has alot to do with soul level as most farmers are high level players from the rewards of there farming...when I was lower around 120-150 it was better by using RSS since I am 225 now invading for a chance at a duel is just a no go pretty much. Even if it's 1 guy he is using the cheapest tactics...spam WOG or TWOP and BKGA fish or flasking till the cows come home until his buddies show up.

The only time I have fun and honourable duels at the kiln lately is when my 200+ friends are online and putting RRS down and we fight each other there.

Maybe for outfits, Black Knights? It's a bit of over-used weapons, however if Gravelords are joining in as they could actually possibly hide as BP knights to mess with people, as well maybe we could get the protectors of Lord Gwyn in on this action?

I was thinking more along the lines of pharris hats, dragons tooth, whips, hand axes. Just weapons and armor never seen. Have everyone using the same sets and kick the farmers asses.


Ex: dex loadout. Nude, pharris' hat, whip, pine resin.

dex/int loadout. Dual velka's rapiers, tcc, css.

and so on.

Well I personally love the idea of everyone using the black knight armor full set but we all use our weapons of choice with little magic but buffs to limit DW to DW damage ie fire tempt ect. That would play best with the theme for sure.

I would love to get anyone interested in restoring some order to the kiln to make it better for some good 1v1 pvp action.

You have to always remember (and this is for farmers at the kiln only) by using RSS and getting 2 red phantoms that are your friends or in this case participants in an event....you can host a world that you will be able to summon farmers as they desperately try to get back to there gang banging cheap friends and bring them to your world that you now control. This is a way to completely control the world and make them fight a fair 1v1 for a change....with proper organization there are many way to extract some revenge on the farmers other than just invading into there cheap antics!!!

The goal would be to have a high amount of DMB's and DW's invading trying to kill as many farmer phantoms and hosts as they can...so that when a farmer phantom dies he can be summoned by a host that is participating who has a red that either invaded or is summoned by RSS waiting. With gravelords cursing and everyone wearing black knight full sets it would be terrifying for them lol.

This way if a DW/BMB ect that is involved invades a participant...the host who gets invaded can recognize them and summon farmer phantoms to be slaughtered fairly 1v1!!!!!

i like it. i agree, not only having mass invasions but have multiple hosts with two friendly invaders and summoning farmers to destroy. i did this with the forest event and it went well. there would have to be a specific place for everyone to put there RSS so no one else sees them. way up left in back corner by wall???

a common costume is essential, because i got killed alot by invaders who didnt know my cause and purpose. essential for host to get two RSS summoned quickly in the kiln.
host be prepared for a flood of hatemail from farmers, they dont like being farmed! my response was "sorry if you were trying to co-op for sif!" and funny enough no one replied to that.

which is more of an issue in the kiln, there is alot of co-op for gywn. though i have summoned people and they BC out when they see its a boss run..

@ Mofomey ya man you get my idea I do this every night at the kiln with a few friends but we can only prove so much resistance but with a mass blitz a point could be proven for sure!

Ya the black knight armor set and a common gestures would be a must to quickly identify fellow participants.

Lets be honest tho people with the odd exception 90% of white signs at the kiln are not to coop for Gwyn...they are to farm. If someone does complain that they were trying to I always offer to help them coop with gwyn...usually I dont get a response lol!!!!

Expect massive hatemail like I said I do the 'white phantom farmer imprisonment' all the time at the kiln and your are right good sir farmers do not like to be farmed....my friend and I are am public enemy #1 in the farming community!!!!!

So you assume all whites that are there in the kiln are there to farm aka jump people who are trying to PvP honorably. So when you summon one that remembers your name do they black crystal out on you?

The kiln is far a lot of people who do not have it open will have to play just to get there. I myself am very far from the kiln at the moment.

As far as gravelords well this is part of a rant I had last night but the first BP is so far away and if you invade or are summoned via RSS you will really have no time to run there for the BPs to help. This is another area where BPs are misplaced IMO. They should have been placed like the stone giants in the moonlight forest area.

I like the idea very much but I see some difficulties in it. When do you want to make this happen?
