I don't see how you can 'spam' the GL dance or FT, I don't use AoE spells besides force or WoG, but I could see how those have an advantage in BT.

I'm glad we're keeping force mixups, it's one of the ways I like to keep my WoG uses surprising

The way that spamming GLSD or FT spells works relies on getting the opponent hit with it once, then when they are knocked down because of the spell you use that time to reposition yourself and cast the startup of the spell before the opponent has time to get up, meaning as soon as they get up they're caught in the middle of the spell again with no chance to run out of the radius or knock you out of it. 9 times out of 10 because of this they will get hit again allowing you to set up the spell again.

Spells generally suck for PvP, that is why they are not used much. A pure caster has very little chance against a high pressure melee build because they will not get a cast off, or if they do they are all easily avoidable. WoG and unlocked pyro (if you are good at it) are the only real viable spells for PvP, even in an open arena. I run a pure intelligence build, but no spells with it and I rely on MLGS/enchanted weapons. I would contend that this is as powerful as any build out there without the attunement slots as it does not rely on buffs. WoG spam is cheap imo because it is unavoidable once the 1st one hits, but one here and there is good tactic for those who can use it. Outside WoG, I don't see any other spell which is overpowered by spamming given how easy they are to avoid. Just my 2 cents. I don't use any spells.

the thing with blighttown is that it is small and aoe spells make seem smaller and really hard to dodge, specially chaos storm. im not saying i wanna ban it im just saying that they would be better suited in a place like sen's where there is a lot of room for all kinds of builds.

I agree w/ this 100%. I tried playing an Int only mage and got WORKED in Btown, so I don't think spamming those spells is nearly as effective.

Im going to be taking a break from FC for awhile. Even though i only started FCing with you all a few days ago. But i simply have too much reality problems to solve atm and its causing some stress and is causing me to mess up my way of play anyway. I know this from hearing two days ago "Tarkus your a beast tank player" to today's quote of "Why am i the only one losing to tarkus?" (To whoever said that im not blaming you for saying it i know you dident mean it the wrong way) But yeah i just need to solve some issues in reality then ill be back on again. So i can play at my full potential again. I know that fc was meant to be just for fun and it is. I just need to get these issues resolved first because when i don't play at my best win or lose i get frustrated. take care everybody.

Sorry to hear that Tarkus, I had too much fun playing with both your builds especially the shirtless dex monkey, you were very different than most opponents.

I was the one who wrote that,I feel I need to clarify something:

First I am Latin and my first language is spanish, I write english and speak fluently but I do have a tendency to not use punctuation well sometimes.

So my comment was not really "why am I the only one loosing to tarkus"

People asked did I loose? I said yes and then everyone lol'd(I assume because everyone else had fought you before and knew you were hard and different to fight)

So I asked what should have read something like "why? am I the only one who has lost to tarkus?"

Also when referring to Tarkus I am referring to your build not you, because I cannot repeat this enough,
your other build was really hard and original....Your Tarkus build was also hard for me using the washing pole so I had to get my STR buil to break your poise.

I know you stated you knew I didn't mean it with bad intentions, because you received many praises(honest ones and well deserved) from me all night and I even had to change builds to fight you, I hope you resolve your issues and come back, for me it was a true pleasure fighting you.

I was excited to meet you and awed with your toons, so I really would like to persuade you to keep coming and keep getting better along with all of us.

FC is really making me realize something... I am absolutely TERRIBLE at PvP. I blame my first (180 hr) toon that was an int mage build.

Thanks for FC w/ me last night Yesuurd, it was fun. I definitely want to take you up on that sparring session some time. I need some help w/ how to use Kats and would also like some practice parrying since I've only just started using it and don't have the timing down due to lag.

Are there actually people here who never parry and never uses shields like i do?
