How do I go about that? I have no experience as a mage whatsoever so you guys should let me know what points are vital to level up at the start of the game, what weapons i will see myself using at the end of the game and what rings i should use.

Yeah, I wanna kinda role play as a sorcerer associated with vinheim. Therefore i will use vinheim only spells.
But I'm not a pure caster, this game pretty much demands the use of a sword so i think ill end up using the moonlight sword at the end, but i wanna know what the build should use for weaponry and stats before the moonlight sword comes around.
And black sorcerer is just the set i'm gonna rock.

Dex and Int are what you really need specifically.
Intellect for the obvious reasons and Dexterity to increase your casting speed. Other than that, I guess atunement, and that's just for how many spells you want.
Other than that you can really put your stats into anything depending on the kind of armor or health you want.

All I'm going to say is that aural distraction is an amazing spell. I can take out four or five enemies with one casting. It's funny seeing five skeletons barrel roll of the cliff.

Alright, so i have decided to use an estoc as my sword of choice, and the crest shield as my shield, and the catalysts will change as I level up my intel.
However, should i go for a magic or enchanted estoc?

It depends... Decide how much dex and int you're going to have and upgrade your estoc based on that. You can test the amount of damage here: http://tinyurl.com/75hecjg
Upper one is magic estoc. I would go for enchanted since if you go for 45 dex (to max your casting speed) and 44+ int (for crystal soul spear) enchanted weapon will do a little bit more damage. But I recommend testing it yourself when you know how much dex/int/str your going to have. Enchanted weapon also does more magical damage than magic weapon which can often be relevant.
Bellowing dragoncrest ring is great for sorcery build. The second one is up to you.

i think i'm gonna use the dark wood grain ring for the first time in my life as my second ring.
is it possible to parry and hit them with a spell right after if your casting speed is fast enough?

I've looked into the Lore of Dark Souls, and I know if you want to RP a Black Sorcerer, you're going to want to do stealth type spells. That's what the armor means. That you specialized in those spells. You COULD use other spells, as you see the Black Mage you find sells you, but stealth is key. Then, if you RP, your toon could "learn" new spells, different from his specialty, but your character probably wouldn't stray from what he knows: Stealth Spells.

I started as a regular sorcerer though, so i am stong in standard spells as well, sound spells are only useful when the situation arises.
And being the armor is so frail, it would be damn near impossible to use stealth throughout the whole game.
Honestly, I'm just using a mage, and the black sorcerer set looks sexier than the regular one so i use it instead.

Yeah. RPing is usually extremely difficult, cause you're supposed to be playing a "real" person. And those people aren't really super-powerful like a character on the first playthrough at SL 60. For example, if you RP'ed a knight from the kingdom Lotrek is from, you'd pretty much use his armor and weapons. Which means no shield. Which means even at lvl 60, you'd still be having major difficulties haha!
