@LordRevan, the pink 360 was the hardest one to find. I actually favour the pale pink shade of the 360 controller over the PS3. I hate the bright pink colour of the Wii controller though. It's hideous! (But it's still pink, so whatever...)

Hi all. I've been a long time lurker... and I've never really been into gaming. Until DkS. I'm Kate (psn: roomsixteen), 23 from Illinois. I just finished up my BS in psychology, and now I'm doing an accelerated BSN nursing program. So, I'm not playing nearly as much as I want to (and will be less once the fall semester starts )
I've never been so utterly captivated by a game and it's (lack of) lore. I've made four toons, but I'm still trying to really find the style that suits me best. Right now, my main toon is sl 110ish and likes to participate in jolly coop.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I forgot to say in my first post that I'm (obviously) super super pumped for the dlc. Even thought about buying it for pc, but I'll just have to wait. I wouldn't have time to start a new game anyway. Sigh, to the Archives I go!

Hey guys, welcome to the wiki!

Hello the name is Davfmy. I have not plaged Demon Souls, and after seeing how Dark Souls is I wish I have.
I love the hardcore feel to the game. But since I do not have internet at my place (using mobile device) I feel like I am missing out on the best part of the game. I used to play Hardcore on Diablo all the time so thats how I play Dark Souls. If one area seems too tough. I go back and farm and farm till I am better. Since im playing 100% solo the whole game I have went with a heavy duty tank type player. Currently running around with the complete Havel Set and have just finished Anor Londo. This gear rules. Lol I never die. Bosses is bout only thing that kills me. But any advice on solo'n Dark Souls would be appreciated. So toughest fight I been in to me whas the Spider Boss down in blight town. Solo'n her was haggard. How i eventually beat her was fighting her completely naked only two handing my weapon. Ran circles around her lol. Used same strategy for the Iron Golem boss. The two boss guys in Anor Londo was a let down for me though. First try victory. When I first seen that guys hammer I thought I was done for ha ha. Well im talkin to much here so ima end it here.

Welcome Dav! Personally (my first playthrough was offline) I found O&S the hardest boss. Once your past them the others are a challenge but easier. Rocking full Havel's is fine for it. i will just say thpough weapon and armour upgrades are more effective than levelling up so keep that in mind.

Although since Havels is already Maxed since no upgrades thats kinda a helpful advantage.

^Thanks man. This might sound lame. But where could i possibly find a broken sword or sword hilt at? Trying to use the soul of sif to make that long sword so i can traverse new londo ruins with ease

You should have one from the start of the game. If not believe the hollows that carry them drop them. The 3 near the sunligth altar are easy to farm. You could also check the wiki or ask for a trade.

Welcome! And indeed most hollows without armor carry them. And if you are ever having trouble or are stuck don't feel afraid to check the wiki, the resources thread, or ask for help in the player help section. Though if you can I urge you to do your playthrough as blind as possible with as little help as possible. This makes the game oh so much more rewarding and really let's you butt heads with Dark Souls.

For the record: a Broken Straight Sword or a Hilt will make the GSoA true version. For the Cursed version (it is cursed weapons that allow you to damage the ghosts in New Londo) you'll need to use a proper straight sword, something like the Longsword works expertly.

I figured perfect timing since she demonstrated the pink controllers, has a pink signature and she brought up that everyone is her friend. Plus this is one of the fastest ways to lose friends so a good dare to her statement (or a way to make her feel welcome). Now with all that rationalizing out of the way....
