Honestly not sure what will happen. TO make it safe, go to oswald of carim, and abandon covenant through him. Doing it that way suffers no penalty

The only way to betray a covenant is to attack a member of the covenant, or perform actions that harm the covenant. To betray the Darkwraiths you have to give the lordvessel to Frampt, that is the only way I know of.
