So, for many of you, Ghost Recon Future Soldier Beta codes started shipping recently. I dropped shooters a long time ago because the community and most of the games were just terrible and repetitive, particularly the call of duty franchise. However, Tom Clancy games have always been some sort of magically different shooter, so I joined the beta as soon as I could, and at first, it was fun. The game itself needs teamwork. There will never be one man holding the team together because hes doing good. If the team itself doesn't work together, the whole game falls apart, and I loved it.

However, it also made me realize how infuriating and childish the shooter community is. With Dark Souls, when we find a problem, we find ways around it. Backstabbers making ya mad? Try unlocking. Pyromancy a problem? Raise your fire resistance and stunlock the crap out of them. There is always a salutionn to our problems that we think of and don't rely on the devs to fix.

But jesus the shooter community is the complete opposite. Objectives making you made? Their broken, remove them from the game. Gun didn't kill in one shot? Underpowered and useless, fix it. Enemy gun killed you quickly? Overpowered, remove it. Its like they expect the company to cater to them in every way possible, and its terrible. Some complaints are legitimate and its still a beta so it will be fixed, but people are just childish about it, and even the way they play scream that they are twelve and love call of duty. I feel like I am parenting them on some of the forums by explaining how a game should be properly fixed when it has legitimate issues.

Like one of the objectives, its broken, I agree, but everyone wants it removed, gone, out of the picture. The objective is actually fun, but its parameters are bad. Its an escort mission basically, but the VIP is selected at random, even if hes being shot at. Everyone wants it gone because it ruins the game, but it doesn't need to be removed, it needs to be reworked. Giving parameters that the selector for VIP must meet is the best solution instead of removing it. So i posted all kinds of suggestions, and they are all pretty much saying "Nope, its bad, get rid of it" like it doesn't fit their personal agenda so it should be gone.

I could only handle a couple hours of these childish people then I left. Its like they will complain about anything that doesn't make them win faster. Which is why I'm grateful for a community like you guys.

So, thank you Souls community, thank you for being mature, understanding, and respectful people who at least take the time and effort into having fun with a finished and not entirely broken game by coming up with alternatives instead of complaining its bad and leaving. If it wasn't for you guys and the Souls series, I'd probably of sold my xbox by now.

lol, I'm glad this community is the only one I'll ever be a part of, rose tinted spectacles for what online communities are like, but oh well silly

To be fair, I'm not surprised about things like that. Shooters they expect to get a gun that will instantly make them really good and play like a pro. It's kinda embarrassing to hear people say that kind of thing.
