PC Gamers doing allot of hating?

Just been checking out the interweb and it seems that "PC Gamers" hate everything. I don't want to generalise but is the whole community gonna turn into a troll fest because I kinda like the way the DkS community all pull together as one in the spirit of jolly cooperation. Also, does anyone think the new PvP mode will make the situation worse? I don't want the greatest game and greatest community to turn into a WoW clone :pale:

WoW clone? impossible the game would have to suck for that to happen.

Most PC gamers think they are elitists. So there will probably be alot of crap said best to ignore the trolls. We seem to have pretty active mods/admins here so it wont be too bad. If youre foolish enough to argue with one(as i sometimes am) just laugh at them cause the never got to play Demon Souls or Metal Gear Solid...or any number of great console exclusives.

i play on PC teh box and ps3 so i gets to play all the greats muhahaha!

Baiting will solve nothing, it's more childish that you couldn't just accept the guys view and try to dissuade it instead of putting him down.

However, paperclips honestly I think that you give them less credit than they deserve. I'm sure many of them have a console as well to play said great exclusives, but in the same way, dark will never become like WoW. I think the moment they step into Lordran and find them selves isolated and lost, the PC online community will form, and I think we'll even see a few of them come here for help, which I will gladly give them.

I too worry about the online aspect of the PC version when a PvP dedicated area/mode is going to be put in place, but not because it'll turn the game into a clone of WoW (which is impossible, they're too different), it's that one of the key aspects of the online: Invasion, will possibly become barren due to this PvP dedicated mode/area. I think it's a shame for such a unique online to take a step backwards into the online systems that most games use.

There isn't much wrong with the PC community. Alot of them act elitist because they say they play on a stronger platform with more intricate and skill based games. . . which in general they do.

The actual communities of PC gamers aren't really that bad with interactions with each other, it varies from community to community. If PC opened for dark souls I think the PC community that really enjoyed it would mirror the current console community.

True, but sometimes you have to speak with people at their level, as you have to play with people at their level to achieve anything.

In the end, it's the Dark Souls community.
Rather differ between TWoP/WoG spammers and FC/Undead Burg PvP players than console and PC.

Since when was a ARPG and a MMORPG the same thing? God the op made me laugh so hard.....

I was just speaking of the so called "pc elitists" i thought that was clear but whatever. As i said i play on PC...which is how i know the PC community(in general) has ALOT of trolls.

Uninformed? is MGS4 on pc now? funny i hadnt heard.

Yeah I get told by PC enthusiasts that whgenever I make a more or less accurate generalisation that I'm close minded, childish, uniformed, etc. That is hardly the case. I'm pretty sure comndeming a PC version of Dark Souls, a game originally designed for consoles, doesn't make me any of the aforementoined things.

I agree with the "Hate comments" They do, in my opinion, show a greater disdain/ dislike for many of various games aspects, and do seem to have this elitism mind set (though thats has noth on some of those XBL and PSN wannabes).

Personally I never bothered with WOW so its community is a mystery to me. However the Dark Souls community is good as it is atm especially here without all the modding and other goodies the PC version would bring (hopefully no mod kit. And yes that'll get me some negative rep).

@ whoever it was who has the FoxHound Avatar- They are missing out on Metal Gear Solid. Guns of the Patriots was amazing. ALSO they miss out on Valkyria Chronicles, ToS, and some really awesome beasties that hopefully will never be released on the PC.

My $0.02 though this is all personal conjecture. I also realise that PC gamers tend be be extremely good at arguing thier cases and getting a little too into certain comments. None of the above comments are malicious in anyway, or were never intended to be such, just my opinions on the comments made here.

we'll help them and tell them nice tricks if they want them and give small hints if they want a spoiler free playthrough, also someone will look at the games code more closely on pc cause its easier to access so someone may figure out the use of the pendent from whats coded for it! we won't have to deal with the hackers on pc due to platform differences and will just say sympathetic thing to those in out community who do have to deal and offer suggestions. i still think the mods some people will make will be hilarious, others will be ungody such as the nude mod for the ornstein and smough fight (omg smough :shock: ) and then theres gwynevere...

I'm still waiting for Screen Shots of the Nude BLACK IRON Tarkus, I think they could be quite interesting.

We'll treat them like everyone else, except that I'll curse them at the end of each of my posts for having extra content, but that's about it.

mother of god... the possiblities are insane, and i just know some ones going to mod their bandits knife into something inappropriate... quelaags hair will actually move or she'll be given a hair cut... someone will make the shiva storyline exist if it isn't added in the pc dlc....

Lore related things? Maybe in a year. Trust me, Nude Que, Nude Gwyn, Nude Gwynevere, Nude Seath, everything will be nude within the first month. There will be new appendages that have to be cut off for new weapons, videos of it will be online. It'll be similar to having your childhood raped, but instead just a video game you really enjoy.

There still seems to be quite a bit of hate here for we PC gamers :S
