Rome Total War

So, I am just getting back into this great RTS - Rome Total War... I am interested in some online battles with restrictions eg; 10k denarii I also enjoy playing themed battles eg Spartans vs Persians or even I sometimes play as Hannibal of Carthage's Army and obviously as Surena of the Parthians armies... Anyone interested??

Oh man, you reminded me that I lost my copy of this game. Better go find one, I love this bloody game. Also, Selucids are utter crap, this always get destroyed in like 40 turns.

All you need are a few units of spearmen in phalanx, some heavy cavalry and an archery unit and you've won the battle. Also, lets move this to the other thread, I didn't realise there were two threads on this.

Selucids unit roster is op as hell for a human player, even in rtr they are op! phalanges (the best in the game) best heavy cavalry in the game, elephants,Romanesque heavy infantry,chariots etc etc

Its always interesting seeing the barbarian/European factions battle each other. Brittanica always stays alive, but the gauls and germans always get trashed. Also, that feeling when you're playing as Greece and Syracuse gets attacked in the Scipii's first turn...

Bloody SPQR, I always retaliate with a full invasion of mainland Rome. If I'm lucky I can wipe out the Brutii and the Scipii, but I can never kill the SPQR off the start of the game.

As Carthage I build Hannibals army generally because it is a strong solid offensive/defensive force - I have not lost a battle to this day in the campaign using them and I have only lost to 1 online player with that setup :L
