Can dark souls save data be saved to a flash drive on a ps3? It says its saved protected, that one has to join playstation plus, is there a way around this, like on xbox 360? Thanks

well i don't see why I need to pay 60$ a year to be able to back up my own save data. It's fine if Sony wants to offer that service for a fee to people who don't want to be bothered doing it themselves.
I understand the concern for hacking the save file but this is something i feel as a consumer I have a right to do. And i'm speaking from experience as demon souls suffered from the same issue and when my first ps3 died and I lost the saves it basically killed the game for me.
They should include the cost of backing up save games on the Sony network with the purchase of the game IMO.
