DMB is OP now in my opinion

some of you may share this opinion, and some may challenge it, but i put it to you, i used a normal unupgraded broken sword, and buffed it, and then proceeded to slaughter the 4 kings.......

It is the strongest buff in the game (at +3). It is really powerful. LOL at beating the 4 kings with the broken sword.

Could you repeat that with the SLB? See how much difference there is?

what was your fth?

50 faith and yeah sure ill get that toon to new game plus and try SLB and see how that works out

I used a SLB parrying dagger to massacre them on NG++. I killed them before they got an attack off (for the most part).

since a buff is a flat increase in damage, the faster the weapon swings the more powerful the buff is.

That makes sense, actually, since the broken sword is light so wont take much stamina to swing and will swing really quickly, it would be great to use buffed (like using a buffed bandit's knife or the like)

eitha way i did it as a joke thinking this wont work, im trying to get back into pve and doing funy way of playing the game, no armour, left handed mode, which is weapon in your left shield in your right

I once summoned a guy in anor londe who was naked and was dual wielding bonewheel shield. He oneshotted almost everything but it was still awesome.

That sounds so hilarious. I always summons the guys who look like jokers, especially the lefty's they're always a laugh to summon.

yes, the random armor/weapon guys are so fun to summon, i can tell theyre having fun becasue i do it too.

thing about buffs is they can even be viable if you dont use stat scaling to your advantage. i had a build a while ago that was just not very good and i had like 16str 14 dex and would buff my bss with slb and dmb and they were still much better then elemental weapons. so add stat scaling on top of that.....yea its op.

i dont do it in fight club but if you buff in a duel, especially if you try the buff+power within ****. im going to attack you. theres no reason to allow someone to make their weapon that much more powerful. do i get mad at people using buffs? no, but i will attack if they try to. thats just my personal view point.

If someone buffs a DEX weapon, I'll get a hit in while they're doing it. With that much DPS, I'm going to get me some damage in too. Haha.

this has me intrested... if i made a end dex faith character with either the dark moon blade or Sunlight blade buff on upgraded Cestus, should I be able to be PVE viable (yet squishy)?

unfortunately you can't buff shields.... and if your going to use a shield in you main hand billy i'd suggest a barbed or pierce shield as they actually have good damage scaling and the same base and upgraded damage as longswords, as for the off hand weapon probably a curved sword for the parry animation and fast off hand attack...

lefty fighting is fun block with a greatsword attack with a target shield

oh i though you could buff your shield, i realy like my fire+10 bonewheel though, that hing hits hard, about 800 if you connect all the hits.

ive never upgraded it i wonder what the scaling for it would be?

Quick weapon + buff = dead kings. Weapon itself doesn't seem to matter. But I agree that the DMB buff is waaay op. Even slb is, but dmb is insane.

ive stopped using buffs in duels these days and use +15 weapons alot of the time, last night i was doing 225 fc with a few new people and dual velkas was fun i was getting my *** handed to me as a point i decided to use my DMB and yeah slaughtered the other guy, truth be told i had more fun using the velkas
