Pure bladestone

So, we all know how hard it is to get and how some players have farmed it for hours with no results. Yesterday, as I was getting the last trophies for the platinum, I was preparing to farm the pure bladestone for the first time. I had never farmed it before. I knew that it was the rarest item in the game and I thought I would be farming it till the end of the world.

Turns out I was wrong. And lucky. Really lucky. I got the pure bladestone with only about 15 minutes of farming. I was shocked. I just stood there as the manta rays shot me to death.

So, how long did it take for you to get the pure bladestone? I'm curious to see how long other players farmed this item.

In 200 hours worth of farming no drops - on my new most recent build... 1st Black Skeleton drops it. I almost cried with joy xD

Games always play tricks on me...Bosses always seem to spam their most damaging/difficult to block moves against me.

Everytime I went farming for Pure Bladestone, it took me from 88 to 99 minutes to get it.

Also, don't give up when you get your first one. Three minutes later, I got my second one! Then 89 minutes later to get my third.

I've farmed it for about 70 min and I still don't have it. It's the only trophy I don't have as well.

Is it better farming the BP Black Skeleton? Or do both BP and normal have same drop rates?

I believe it only drops from the BP ones. Just to make sure check the demon's souls wikidot

The BP and the skeleton in the secret passage both drops it.
I believe the droprate is a bit higher for the BP, but it's usually faster to farm the first skeleton (especially if you don't use soulsucker). You can almost do 2 runs to the hidden passage in the time it takes to do 1 run to the BP.

After more than 50 Shards of Archstone used, the BP Black Skeleton dropped the pure bladestone .

I still dont have it and I've farmed so much! Can any one help me?

It took me a couple weeks to get with playing dedicated only to this end and optimized for drop rate etc. To make up for this, Dark Souls has offered me a trident in under teen minutes, two catch poles without farming, a second trident out of nowhere, a few extra slabs, about ten souvenirs in less than 20 minutes and really no hassles getting anything. Video game karma?

I spent around 10h to get drop from skeleton in secret passage. But I started to kill BP skeleton also which dropped it quite early, killed it only about 15-20 times. Had luck in Dark's though, got Channeler trident in first playthrough (just advancing in the stages, wasn't even farming) which I noticed/read that it can be difficult to get.

I hate this upgrade stone. I have been trying to get this one for several weeks with no success and I'm getting fed up with killing these two skeletons, so is anyone willing to trade.

I have well over 2million souls, just from farming the BP skelly. I just started farming the secret passage one, realizing it was quicker. Still nothing. I have max shards i can carry... and have almost 50 chunks, not pure. I also dont know how the hell im gunna get the friends and foes ring with the servers so empty. After 3 days of just farming for pure in world 4(offline) im getting pretty bored. I was going to make a pvp build with a sharp weapon, but *** that.

I got the friends ring, and im working on getting the foes ring and final magic spell i need. Besides that all i have to do is get that damn bladestone. I seriously have about 6+hrs of farming the BP black skelly, and about 2-3 hrs farming the hidden passage normal black skelly. I pretty gave up on this being a pvp build, cause i had to up my magic to 10 despite not needing it just so i could get all the spells on one character(its just easier cause i already have to do multiple playthroughs with this toon). im at exactly 80% complete with demons souls, so close. They really make you work for the platinum in demons compared to dark. If you're saying you will let me hold a bladestone weapon wrym, i might take you up on that. I still have some stuff to do though, so i will wait and see if im able to get it. Thanks.
