Fairly basic, but solid and believable. Especially if you haven't done it before like you said, it reasonably good.

I believe I wrote a journal entry in reaction to one of Plagius's insane plots but that was a few sentences. Is the blue that bad? If it really is then I will just switch to italics; I don't want to cause people pain.

Fine to italics then.
There you go it's in italics. Have your eyes stopped burning now?

I could read it fine.. and, Dough, are you on a phone or something? Because if you aren't, I don't see why he needs to change it. Seriously. Highlight it. *sigh* Oh well. No use in talking about it anymore.
I'll be responding to his dialogue.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
You speak to a ghost, for the dragon is not here. He has left us. A few of us choose to sit and rest by this bonfire. You are welcome, but, remember, your accusations are not. Your talk of innocent and guilty, right and wrong, justice and crime is nothing but seeking for excuses. Excuses for the suffering. You are no different than the dragon nor me. You are guilty in the eyes of the family of those you slay. Is the dragon not innocent in the eyes of his peers? He simply protects what he loves, his queen and his home. Even before this time, he did not betray his brethren. Is not the faithful knight guilty in the eyes of the dragons? and yet he is seen innocent, even honored, by those who wished to see the dragons slain. There is no right or wrong. There is only pain. Every action, every thing you do causes pain. In yourself and in others. You may not see it, but I do. I suffer for it, but I live on. I suggest you do the same and stop squandering your life away for something that will not soothe away the pain.SunlightCrusader wrote:Dragon you are a sinner are you not? You shall pay the price eventually but not here nor now; my rapier remains sheathed in this place of peace. Instead I shall tell you of myself so you may know your enemy. My name is Ryan. I was born in the proud nation of Astora to a family of minor nobility. When I came of age I was trained as a knight; I was instructed in the use of straight swords, greatswords and many other weapons but my true talents were in the rapier and bow. I was however sheltered from the evil of our world until I was knighted and sent into combat. There I saw innocents murdered and my friends cut down by those out for personal gain. I fought on and tried to ignore it as I knew I could do nothing more. Thus my life continued until I became undead. In Lordran I hoped to find escape from this evil but I still found those willing to prey on the weak. Now they seek humanity and souls rather than power and riches but they are no different. I roamed the land doing what I could against these fools, these sinners but I was helpless to do anything unless they were fool enough to target me. The frustration and anger was more than you could imagine. Then I found Gwyndolin; He gave me and other warriors, His Blades of the Darkmoon, the power to hunt these sinners as they hunt the innocent. However in time many of these warriors proved false and betrayed us, using the skills obtained in His service for personal gain. I was enraged but He had a solution; He set a task, a duty to me and another loyal warrior; we were to gather those Blades of true faith and form a new order. This order would be known as Lordran's Deliverance it would bring true justice to Lordran in a way that the Blades could not. We were to be His Seraphs and we were to answer only to Him and ourselves. With this He granted me armor made of brass and a bow imbued with a part of His soul. That is why I am here, that is my purpose. Now you know my story. Now you know why I shall always make the guilty pay the price.
Tell me. Why do you strive for this false remedy for the everlasting ailment that is life? Why?

Ahh, fair enough! You know, I don't know if you heard, I used to be a knight *smirk* Carim. The land where The Pardoner hails from, and where the knights specialize in parrying. You know *small giggle* to this day, I cannot use a shield! My parrying dagger is mostly replaced by my flame, but I always have it with me. Ready for use. What do you specialize in? Weaponry, defense, both?
PS: My character likes to meet fellow knights. It's all nostalgic for her.

The Knight has mysteriously disappeared as the pyromancer talks. She looks around for him but cannot fnd him, at least until she feels the blade at her throat. "You tell me, tell me why I should not slice a deserters throat?"

Your logic goes against you pyromancer. The families of those he has slain suffer as well; many must cry out for justice. I grant it. I care little for how his peers view his actions for what are they but more sinners who must pay the price. I do not draw a blade against the innocent as he and his peers do. I draw my blade only upon those who betray their covenants or murder others. There is a right and there is a wrong; this is not something that can be changed by perspective. It is only mortal delusions to believe that we can decide right and wrong; that is the domain of the gods whom I serve.
If it is a remedy then it is the blazing hot iron sealing the bleeding wound that sin inflicts upon humanity and it is not false. I seek justice. I seek to punish those who care only for themselves. Life is no ailment it is a gift, a gift that sinners shall destroy if left unchecked. This I cannot allow.
Our lives have shaped us, pointed us towards paths that we can embrace or reject. I have embraced mine. I owe Gwydolin everything and I will remain loyal until my hollowing day. The guilty pay the price. This single statement is my purpose now given to me by Him.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
Pain and suffering. We all live it. The choice we
have is, what we're going to do with it. It's what keeps us going
forward. We may think it's for some reward, but, really, it's to escape
the suffering we endure always. Most rewards do not change a thing. But a
few, like friendship, can ease the pain. As a burden on two shoulders
is less than one. My purpose: to suffer. I do not seek a reward. I seek
to live. To be where I am. I do not change my ways simply for a break
from the suffering, for it will come back someday. Somehow. Some way.
Even friendship doesn't keep all the suffering from coming in. I will
endure my suffering for what I believe in. I believe in serving Quelana
for teaching me this. Our long talks alone, the talks no one else will
know of, are more than enough for me to trade my time for. Even my life.
Though, I do not believe that will come. I see her becoming more and
more distant. I am afraid she will leave me. I will continue to serve
her as she fits. If she wants me to follow, she will tell me.
I
wasn't always like this. I used to be a knight of Carim. My family was
noble, and I was on my path to becoming a Lady. There are many ways to
do this. Becoming a scholar. Learning Politics. I decided to take the
path of a knight. I left that behind when the fantasy that is pyromancy
encased me in suffering. But this was the worst kind. A suffering I was
not aware of. I was like Laurentious. I thought I had the answer.
Meeting Quelana changed me in ways that are concrete in my being. I
cannot be who I was. Though, I still cannot wield a shield ha ha ha ha!
I do not understand you. You choose to suffer when there are ways to easy your pain. We seem very different, you and i. You choose to suffer while i choose ease the pain. You choose to not change while i change with time.
But in other aspects we are similar. I serve my Queen as you serve Quelana. We would both give our live for them.
Today i got the first good news in ages. My friend Kuol has sent a messenger. He says that he left our previous family. And now he has joined Nito. In order to bring suffering to others. I will soon travel to Nitos home to meet him. I look forward to this. But it was a long time since i last stepped out of the painting. I wonder if the world outside has changed. Nevertheless i am happy to be able to see him again.
Dragon you are a sinner are you not? You shall
pay the price eventually but not here nor now; my rapier remains
sheathed in this place of peace. Instead I shall tell you of myself so
you may know your enemy. My name is Ryan. I was born in the proud nation
of Astora to a family of minor nobility. When I came of age I was
trained as a knight; I was instructed in the use of straight swords,
greatswords and many other weapons but my true talents were in the

I was knighted and sent into combat. There I saw innocents murdered and
my friends cut down by those out for personal gain. I fought on and
tried to ignore it as I knew I could do nothing more. Thus my life

this evil but I still found those willing to prey on the weak. Now they
seek humanity and souls rather than power and riches but they are no
different. I roamed the land doing what I could against these fools,
these sinners but I was helpless to do anything unless they were fool
enough to target me. The frustration and anger was more than you could
imagine. Then I found Gwyndolin; He gave me and other warriors, His
Blades of the Darkmoon, the power to hunt these sinners as they hunt the
innocent. However in time many of these warriors proved false and

you know my story. Now you know why I shall always make the guilty pay
the price.
In what way am i a sinner? I chose to serve the dragons, who your lords killed in order to gain power. I chose to serve an outcast, who was shunned by your lords. You are the sinner here or better yet, your lords are the sinners.
So you serve Gwyndolin. You must know that there are people like you here too. They decided to serve our Queen, perhaps you will make the same decision one day. He has given you a task, to purge lordran from sinners. But we who inhabit the painting wish to be left alone. If you intrude in our world you should no blame us for attacking you. Would you let a stranger into your own home?

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
Quicker? You request a game of speed. You are very quick, I will give you that, but nothing is faster than thought. And now that I have my spell prepared, do you really think your hand is faster than thought? *puts flame out* You kill me, there's only nothing. Death is not something I wish for. Please, put the blade away. As I told the dragon: blood not need be spilled this day.
I just kinda put the ball back in your court. I just showed that all I desire is peace. You can choose to keep the blade where it is, or put it away. I think it'd be fairly boring to "kill" my character. I have no idea how me being returned to the bonfire that we are sitting around already would change the conversation.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
*swallow in sadness* you cause suffering, you know that? *looks down* It was not I who deserted them, but they who deserted me. My family was noble, but they were politicians. Silver tongues being flapped between two fat lips. Rich they were, and fat in their chairs. When I chose the path of a knight, I was deserted. Not only by my family, but by the rest of Carim, for a woman emotionally abandoned by her family is welcomed no where. My family was good at politics, but that did not stop word from spreading like the fire I now create.
*looks back at the knight*
You see, Sir Knight, I did not abandon them, for they were loyal to me no more. My farewell was heard by deaf ears. They do not mourn my absence as I continue to mourn theirs. *eyes water*
Hahaha! That's SUPER sappy. Though, I doubt it will MOVE your character as much as it will at least convince him that I did not desert my country.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
Dragon you argue your case well but I must tell you that Blades who abandon their purpose to serve your queen are no friend of mine. Many are drawn into your world by mistake; how are they to know that a simple painting could hold an entire world? Does this justify their murder? Your queen was imprisoned because her power, the power of Lifehunt, poses a threat to all life. Your dragons were slain to make way for new life which could not happen as long as they ruled. These are unfortunate truths.I admit that the gods were forced to make difficult choices in the past. However I see no sin in what they did. What they did was for the good of all life. Priscilla is safer in the Painted World is she not? Would she not be hunted outside? The dragons posed a threat to all life other than themselves. The Lords reacted to a threat to their existence.
Now I follow the son of one of these Lords. I am his Seraph and I will serve Him as loyally as you do your queen. I am an instrument of justice and as long as you murder innocents whose only crime was to touch a painting then you will be guilty. Your Painted World is not exempt simply because it is not physically attached to Lordran; the entrance is within Anor Londo. All guilty must one day pay the price dragon even you your fellow Lifehunters.
