Saw kirk barb today, we lost but we put up a good fight. Been having a really good day otherwise. Plenty of 2 vs 2s.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
That's awesome dough. Love running into turn members.
I had a great 2v2 earlier. Host didn't see the other hunter spawn and I led him around. Phantom was late to the party. Other blue landed a backstab from the shadows and then we opened up on the host.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Haha nice. I've been getting better lately, most of the time I at least kill a phantom before I die, which is really useful for when a second hunter turns up just as Im killing the phantom. Gives them a taste of their own medicine
EDIT: Wow, invaded into a gank alongside a fellow hunter, they BCed out.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
*facepalm* could be worse dough. also I dont get how you guys manage to kill the phantoms >.< my success in a 2v1 is always predicated on pressuring the host and avoiding the phantom.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
A lot depends on their skill set. I usually focus on the host if they group up or are any good. If they separate I often go for the phantom.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
But then they just chug... I have done over 5k+ damage to a phantom before the host realized the phantom was not going to beat me 1 on 1 and got involved...

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
@Dan I have fought some hosts who are out of estus and rely on the pahntoms healing through humanity or spells. Other times if the host is close enough that you could easily BS before the heal happens they wont chug, and a second BS on the phantom/normal hit if you have trees helping can be enough.

Hmm, that would be nice to be in that situation... It has happened sometimes but normally I dont get that lucky... guess I need to switch my tactics up...

SLB MSGS in BI doing a BS! You obviously need more acronyms in your build.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Hah, the only thing we differ on is choice of weapon then. I have a flamberge as backup but it is hard to switch back to it. it just feels like a slower BSS now ... although the switch and r2 catches so many people as a finisher.

If in doubt a +5 ascended flam always helps.

I have 2 attune slots atm, SLB and WoG. Once I get my str to 50 though (5 more levels) I might get a few more.

thats why you have one in each hand, if your talisman is off hand the worst you will do is end up blocking which isnt the end of the world

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Quick question do halberds have a critical modifier too? because my fire gargoyle halberd outdamages my SLB BSS which does not make sense.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Fire GG Halberd has the highest elemental AR of the none UGS weapons I believe. So even if it didnt it would do crazy damage. What armour were they wearing?
