Interesting. I've used it in PvE quite a bit and a bit of PvP and its always seemed a slower weapon to me.

I shoulda qualified that, a great deal faster than the scythe but certainly no dagger. It's also similar to the scythe I'm that a hit allows the next swing to be fast. A whiff or block will slow you down. But that's nothing I'm not used to

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
@Skare - yeah your experience with the GS will go far with GTA - since u can leverage a playing style you already know. I played around a bit with the GTA in PvE but never in PvP since it does not fit any of my builds. I think I have seen a vid of cloud using it with great effect.Plus the resistance increase is bonus - especially against those dang katanas, LF, and GS
Good stuff bro.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
By the way, i thought that there was supposed to be more than one mass forest invasion event during summer. I haven't seen Dan here in a while so i'm guessing it's not happening. Didn't Dan organize the previous one?

Well, my vacation starts in a week, so i could invade the forest quite a bit then I once dreamt about all those user made covenants joining forces and invading the forest... It was beautiful.

Can you imagine? Darkwraiths, Gravelords, Darkmoons, and Forest Invaders all invading/cursing at the same time? Epic.

And the NK would join in as troll phantoms, suiciding when hunters appear so ganker hosts die.

Haha Or you could try to parry the host first. I wonder if you can use lloyd's talisman as a phantom?

Good question. Never had a white betray the host before.

I would imagine that it wouldn't work...simply because aoe effects often don't work on the host from a summoned phantom.
Though I would be game for a mass invade, but I'm on xbox.

I think you can if you land it on there feet. I agree with the parry and then suicide though.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Do I hear rumblings of war against the gank - I'm definitely ready to rock. Just name the date and time and its a GO!!I haven't seen Dancash either (I have not even seen him on the XLN)he probably has some real world stuff going on.
@Reim - I coordinated the first mass invasion and Dancash did the second.I'm sure the both of us can lend you a hand with prep work.
My FH (SL314) and GL (SL128) will be participating so this is going to be good!!
For the glory of Alvina and Nito's misery!!

Broke - you asking me to coordinate a "gank the gankers" event? Sounds like fun. I've already got a few ideas (been thinking of a multicovenant assault).

Ok. Settled. Gonna think about a few things. Feel free to send me creative ideas, or tips you have about setting it up. My main idea is a lawless and remorseless fighting spree against gankers (glitches banned of course).

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
It depends. I've done some nice dragon slaying with murakumo. Swing unlocked and turn when they start to circle. Most likely they won't have enough HP to survive the stunlock. Sometimes they get the backstab though. High risk, high reward i guess. One time i completely humiliated a dragon glitcher with my thorn armor piece. Whenever he tried to do something i rolled towards him and he stunned.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
If they are full dragons exploit there low poise like Fin mentioned (oh the lovely Mura ). I have also used spears (pike and SKS) with good effect against dragons - stay out their roar stun range or get them stun-locked fast and you will do just fine.
I still have not encountered any of glitches the dragons can do.Oh well one of these days (I'm even carrying around dragon ore with me  ).

I made them regret the double team. After all the forest hunting two Skyrim dragons is a breeze
