Finished the game Sunday, played NG+ for a while and just found it too quite or something, just couldn't get into it. Kept thinking about making a new character...which i did and its been great fun.
I got myself to lvl 20 and have been there since monday. Just helping guys with Capra and the Gargoyles who, after putting so many hours into the game previously, seem very easy now, even Capra who i spent a whole day trying to beat when i first played the game.
Have noticed some invaders with ridiculous weapons just one hitting me, which is just sad really but **** happens.
Dont see myself leveling up anytime soon, too much fun helping guys with the early bosses at the moment, gonna see how far i get at this level.

I've never even tried to do anything past Firelink Shrine without leveling.

The furthest i've been able to do is killing O and S with a level 20 toon, but I am being raped after that. Haven't leveled that toon yet, but as you say, I don't have the skill to finish the game butt naked using only chopsticks and the dwgr...

You guys really should, thats some of the most fun i have had playing dark souls. Try going for a sl1 run, its not as hard as you might think. It will force you to learn to dodge better, thats for sure. I was actually about to make a post seeing what you guys think i should try: a sl1 demon's souls run or a sl1 dark soul run(where elemental weapons are not allowed)

I would love to see a SL 1 Demon's Playthrough.
What do you say? I think that's a good challenge run because of the weapon scaling, there is no poise and there is the flamelurker and the maneater... And penetrator and black phantoms...
And list goes on...

I always get to the gargoyles without leveling, and then I'll either level there so I can summon some help or else I'll just stay unleveled until Quelaag, where I'm typically going to need help since my unleveled builds are rather weak

I agree, it makes the game more fun. If you're into self-flagellation. I can't imagine a sl1 Demon's Souls run. I think Demon's is so much harder than Dark because of the long distances between archstone entries and bosses. The first time I played I must have done the run-to-flamelurker about 20 times....

a sl1 demons souls run would be tuff.More then anything getting the king doran armor with a sl1 character would be insane. Sl 1 run in dark souls really isnt that hard, especially if you use elemental weapons and know where everything you need is.Maybe trying to do it on your first or second playthrough would seem impossible, but it can be done rather easily if you know the game well.

he is easy enough as a SL1... Thiefs ring and you just run out of the tomb... backstab and Soul arrow - run away, rinse and repeat.
