Xanthous Luminaries - Ancient Archeologists

Woot guess i'll just have to get on sometime, and idk if i'm supposed to support a special look or not but i've always loved the xanthous set so this character is going to be tromping around the garden patch in them... Am i supposed to decide a vector? or something like the manipulator of physics cuz if that is, then i'ma have to go with that one cuz i don't get to co op much lol

I love the xanthous set i don't care what anyone says it's bad ***... Cuz king jeramiah is a stud bro... I might every now and again used notch whip and pyro glove sometimes just to mess around XD it's quite fun... I invaded someone yesterday and just flipped around them and kept poking them with my whip but they dashboarded as if i did something wrong...

Today marks the day I got Avelyn for the first time ever! Of course, with the intention of using it. This will be an interesting turn of events... Any tips on it's uses would be appreciated?

I'd suggest upgrading your Avelyn via the regular +15 upgrade path , and purchase Lightning Bolts from Anor's Giant Blacksmith to go with it.

While PvPing with my Luminary build I found great use for it during several fights. It all depends on your opponent and distance in between you guys because you can't risk getting severely punished during the reloading of the Avelyn.

With that in mind I'd recommend to mostly use it as a punishment tool yourself , rather then an offensive weapon.

If you see your opponent throw a fireball , firewhip , poison mist , Emit Force , etc ,or when they whiff a quite slow recovering attack (usually an R2) while you stay out of range,

switch to your Avelyn for Capital Punishment

It's usually not a good idea to try to hit a strafing target , but It's fun to whack your opponent of when he comes running at you straight forward with only a few HP left , lol.

If you are willing to read the whole lore you'll know exactly what the Archeologists are up to. Our purpose and the rankingsystem explains the majority of it though. In game we basicly PvP and /or Coop and gather the rarest artefacts that can be found throughout Lordran through PvE to rank up. (Covenant items or Sunlight Medals + an artefact will award a new title.)

I had the idea to have special infiltration events in which members would have to leave their current favoured covenant for a short period of time to gather those other covenant reward items

Excavation Events would require for an anomaly to be investigated by the luminaries in which they will search for a special rare item , it will be some sort of contest/race to see who can find the most in a set amount of days.
