Thinking about getting an HD PVR to record some dks action (amongst other things). So what do you use to record? How well does it work? Cost? Quality? Your fav color?

I use an HD PVR, it's alright if you know how to use it. The software they give you is just garbage. I wound up downloading a different converter and just used Windows Movie Maker to edit.

I use a HD PVR and it works fine, but watch out: the more connector cables you need from your tv/ps3 to your PC, the lower the quality will be.

Although absolutely not helpful, that may be the best answer

TotalMedia Extreme is apparently "all" you need to record and edit your videos.

I think a cheap capture card or a dvd recorder would be fine.
People make alot of noise about HD quality, but dark soul videos aren't cinematic masterpieces.

I bought the HD PVR Gaming Edition last week. It came with "ArcSoft Showbiz".
Can someone tall me what other converters/recording software/whatever it is called you can use?
"ArcSoft ShowBiz" is a good software to record though, but it only works on our Windows 7 PC, not on my own PC (XP). It's all laggy there and most of the time it freezes, although the machine has a good graphics card and the required cpu and ram - it should actually be even better than the Windows 7 PC.
Thought about installing Windows 7 to see if it would work then, but that takes such a long time, so I'm looking for an alternative. Anyone can tell me?
Edit: Don't wanna hi-jack the thread though......
