Despair, finally...

So, after all the talk of feeling loneliness and despair in Dark Souls, it finally just kicked in for me. Ash Lake has always made me feel strange, it's beautiful, but there's an eeriness to it, just staring into the pitch black water...

Dark Anor Londo too, I just don't want to walk around in it and I'm scared for some reason.

I guess it's a good thing that this game has finally hit me with the setting.

Ash lake is truly eerie, but such an amazing setting! Before the games launch I would stare at some screen shots of Darkroot Forest and get lost in its atmosphere. The trees, the foggy look and the glowing flowers!

Dark Anor Londo has always struck a nerve with me. I normally only visit it during summons or invasions, as I've only ever turned it dark once, and that was at the end of my very first playthrough. Such a depressing place after you've spent so much time there in the light.

I think the spot that you defeat the Hydra, darkroot basin (garden?) , that's depressing too, after the Hydra is gone

and it's a game that I don't like to play, when people are around

tomb of the giants....

i love ash lake, its one of the coolest places in the game, reminds me of nausicaa. my favourite place has to be the catacombs.

I used to hate the Tomb of the Giants, but now I don't spend more than 10-15 minutes there because I just get in, save Rhea, and run through to Nito. My favorite place is probably Light Anor Londo, I just think it's beautiful.

Ilike the archives. it has a sort of....i dunno, i just like it!
