Yeah but I can understand why they did that. If they didnt they'd either have to go through the whole "regaining all his powers" process oor just cut that out, which would be boring/lame respectively. This way they only look kinda lame.

Apparently I'm late to the party on this, but woah! This series was awesome. It's actually the first show I've ever seen that actually seems to really understand gaming. Aincrad certainly trumps Alfheim, though. It does also bug me a bit that Kayaba Akihiko ended up as a hero of sorts by the end of it. Seriously, he killed almost 4000 people for what he admits was basically no reason at all. I'll admit he wasn't as disturbing as Sugou, but Sugou at least had less of a body count than he did :|
I didn't get it at first either, but then you realize that her father was the head of a big company as well as about to retire. He just wants to marry her to inherit the company, so age doesn't really matter. And at the time she was 17, not 13, so while still underage, not quite as pedo as you might think :|
