When he finished making his character and spawned in the jail cell, he randomly picked up two red titanite chunks. I have no idea how it happened, because I have done this glitch many times and have never experienced random item pick-ups. Does anybody know how this could have happened?

Did he start as a Pyromancer?
I heard that if you start as a Pyromancer and do a certain trick there is a little Easter Egg that'll allow you to start off with those upgrade stones.

No, he started as a wanderer, and I had to guide him through how to do it, so he couldnt have done an easter egg.

Im pretty positive it has something to do with him returning to the asylum and killing the black knight(with the save he bb glitched) that is there, he drops them if i remember correctly. It has happened to me also.

Sounds wierd but i guess its possible. He did go up there to get the Peculiar Doll, and he already had 99 red chunks, so i guess thats what happened.

yeah sometimes bb'ing kills off the blk knights, i've gotten their shield from that before and used it to kill the asylum demon first encounter...

^it doesnt really matter if you picked up the item in the other save. Another thing that tends to happen is the knight that drops the key wont be there, usually if you killed him in the other save, but just quit and reload and the key and estus will be there.
