Top Scaling Weapons for a 40/40 build?

So which weapons are the best for this type of build?

With these stats a +15 Uchigatana has an AR of 420

while a +15 Longsword does 409

these are just some base stats for example anyone know if there are weapons designed to be used on builds like this.

Claymore is good. The Mura is excellent. Halberds will also fair pretty well. You can just go through mugen looking at stuff but remember, its moveset not damage thats most important.

IMO these 4 weapons are the best, based on damage/speed ratio.
Dragonslayer Spear is epic if you also plan on adding any faith.

I Built a 40/40 toon the other day, has been a great deal of fun, really awesome. I discovered the amazing great scythe, I found the moveset and damage to be quite incredible. Def worth checking out. And yah, claymore is good for scaling, amazing moveset aswell.

I like the 40/40/40/40 toon as it allows no room for gimmicky magic and miracles and makes me purely focus on my combat skills.... which admittedly are lacking in the eastern weapons department.

Don't count out the Sunlight Straight Sword, Balder Side Sword or Pike. I use them a lot on my 40/40. The Bastard Sword also beats the Claymore for me. I tend to avoid the slower weapons on a 40/40 though because you won't have a whole lot of Vit (if like me you have more End to carry 3 weapons and a shield) and slow weapons are too easy to parry/avoid/punish.

The Great Scythe is also beast, but learn to play locked-off and expect a lot of roll backstabs

The Washing Pole beats out the Uchi's scaling at 40/40 and actually deals better damage with more range. I second the DSS for its range, but I've found the Pike beats it in terms of damage at 40/40 and +15, especially if one has no faith.
