Ragequit list thread?

Now people might downrep me for this but I don't see why.

On my other forum for Blazblue we have a thread to list the names of Ragequitters, Trolls, and hatemail senders.

Couldn't we have a thread like that here as well? I don't see the problem with it. If they are griefers, gankers, hackers, and ragequitters shouldn't they be known to the community? I'd maintain the list.

Emotionally, I agree. Ethically, I understand that even undesirables have a right to privacy.

Just keep a personal list if you so desire, otherwise there's no need to single people out. It can lead to further harassment of them, and possibly harassment of us for putting it up. All in all only trouble would come of it. I understand the want to, dealing with such people is frustrating. At the same time, running such a list requires an unreachable level of omniscience, as well is prone to causing cases of mistaken identity.

Whilst we understand the desire to warn users of those with unsportsmanlike behavior, lists like these can be breeding ground for flamewars and slandering and are therefore not allowed in the forums.

I admit that sometimes I want revenge for what they have done to me, and maybe spare other people around, but they're human, and I would hate to see my username in a hate-list at some forum. Just ignore them and keep going, sooner or later, they will be defeated.

what makes our forums so good and organized is this "sense of honor/justice". we're not going to become haters because someone is pissing us off, then we will prevail against them. Bow at your cheap foes after defeating them.

Griefers, gankers, and hackers are one thing, but rage quitting is another matter. I honestly don't think rage quiting hurts the game and is more frustrating than anything. If somebody rage quits, take it as a win. They forfeited. Plus, you don't always know if the person is rage quitting or they just have a crappy connection.

For example, I was trying to co-op with Cook and Isirith last night and I had more "failed sessions" than I have ever had playing this game. Even invaders were sent home. It was awful.

You know its a ragequit when they "Magically disconnect" in a backstab animation.

I would count it as a win but I want my reward, that is what I'm invading for. It robs the other player. I hope ragequitters get their data corrupted.

It doesn't corrupt the data.

I thought this game autosaves and if you turn it off without hitting quit game you might get corrupted although rare.

Thats why people don't attempt the Kiln glitch.

It involves forcing themselves to DC, so it just says you have disconnected, but it doesn't shut off the game that moment. Meaning they just have to sign back in, nothing lost on their part.

Thats weird because I have admit I did it once on offline as a ragequit and it gave me the "Your data will get corrupted if you do this" message.

Do they just unplug the internet cord?

I'd rather not explain how it is done in too much detail, because it is annoying if more people know how to do it.

Could we make a hatemail thread without name showing?

We have in the past actually, but the issue became that a lot of them were just full of swears, sometime racial slurs, etc. So, if we did people would have to know to censor the hatemail themselves, and it still just seems like such a negative thing to have on the forum. I don't think we would really need such a thread, pointing out the darker aspects of people.

Honestly that does sound like a pain when put that way.

Personally, I just don't think it really goes with the atmosphere of the forum. We like to be pretty tame here and kind, so such a thing just doesn't seem like it belongs you know?
