So, I've been gravelorded numerous times. I've only seen the black phantoms once. That was in the Depths. And, I saw dredgling BPs. Other than that, nothing. Any ideas why?

At least you've seen them one time, that's more than me, and I come across the signs quite regularly, especially when I'm in the Garden.

I ve been gravelorde a lot but never saw them. Only once when i was summed as red in moonpit. There where many red stone knights, almost impossible to beat them as host

The gravelord "infects" every single world he is connected to (around 20-30 by the p2p system) however only 3 worlds have BPs show up. The rest can invade him but do not get BPs.
This is what I believe based on what I have heard and experienced.
There is also argument over whether you must rest at a bonfire/die for the BPs to show up. I have heard cases of people needing ot rest at a bonfire and the having them appear, and people saying they simply appeared out of thin air. Coming back from an invasion/co-op may also trigger the BPs to appear.

Resting at the bonfire doesn't work for me. But, what you say about the 20-30 people does make sense. I'm just a little jealous of all those people getting their BPs.

The BP's always scare the heck out of me! I've seen them in the Burg numerous times, and poof! - they just appear from nowhere! Personally, I've only had them in Burg and the Kiln. The BP BK's in the Kiln are absolutely mental. Can guard-break 1-shot you, no bother.
I've always wanted to have the BP Stone Knights though I don't spend much time in that area though.

I have seen them in burg 2 or 3 times, parish once, and ToG once. Oddly enough ALL my BP sightings were on XBL! I've never once seen them on PS3.

I've seen BPs in Kiln, Burg and Anor Londo. And one time I invaded someone in the Forest and he had BP mushroom parents.
It's always pretty scary when you suddenly start hearing footsteps and turn around only to see a black phantom black knight charging towards you.

Oh man, those BP giant shroom guys are insane! I would seriously laugh if I was invading in the forest and they followed me there (knowing the BPs were there). I'd bet they would be OHKed.

I've seen bp's one time in burg and was so far away from it I thought I was invaded. In standing on the roof where you pick up the throwing knives. I gestured for bout a minute and then realized it was a bp. I felt like an idiot giving a bp the "well what is it?" gesture.
