It's cause I do lot of Humanity farming there. For some reason at least one rat will end up falling through the floor to the level below on each run through, which is bloody annoying when they drop Humanity, as it then means you've got to go hunting around for it or risk loose it altogether, but it does mean that from time time you get to see scenes like this pretty regularly.
