Karmic Justice

While fooling around some with Karmic Justice I got it to activate once as I got killed, so I figured it'd be fun to use it and purposefully get killed when invading/being invaded.

I have yet to get KJ to activate again :/

I'm at a loss as to why it's not working, and I tried to duplicate what I did before but without any success, any recommendations?

Guess it should trigger with a low damage resistance shield...
Like leather shield probably...

It takes around 5 "sources" of damage to activate. Basically you need to get hit 5-6 times within a short time to activate. However unless you are against a rapier that wont happen. However if you use a shield with less than 100% phys block, then every hit you take on your shield will count towards activating it. That is the secret to KJ.

They have nerfed a shield that is perfect for Karmic Justice in Prepare to Die. Its not a big spoiler, it contains details on which shield was nerfed and how, and how it applies to you.

Try this....invade with rtsr triggered and 1st born ring with the crown of dusk...turtle and tank the 5-6 hits with a shield that has less than 100% phys reduction....wait maybe hit them with 1 WOG for about 1200 dmg to soften then up...then tank those hits and bang that justice that was doing a lame 400 dmg now does 1200 dmg +......have fun!!

Also, it's bugged that your Mag. Damage is triggered from your right hand. So if you're holding the Tin Crystalization catalyst (or moonlight greatsword) in your right hand when it goes off, apparently it does more damage.

Hey Mark ya it was a sans video I think were most people saw it or at least that's were I did!

After one of those threads I tested having the TCC in my right hand when it goes off...I let the man serpants beat the hell outta me to trigger it...maybe its different in pvp but it did no more dmg to the NPC's...it did ~ 400 dmg with or without the TCC in my right hand...all it did for me was halve the mircle not boost it so I don't get it!

Could you actually wield the TCC? Have enough INT? And did you cast in your left hand?

Yes I did I ran the test with my lvl 320 forest hunter who has 60 INT(lol don't ask it was my 1st toon)

Okay so I had velka talisman in my left hand and TCC in my right....I then cast KJ while I had TCC out and the KJ was halved...then I went to the serpants and 1st tested WOG while having TCC equiped in my right/velka in the left....the dmg was the same with and without the TCC ~400 dmg but the spell was halved from TCC...then I let them beat me up while I had TCC in my right and KJ went off for once again about 400 dmg...then I re did it with just the KJ and the dmg was of course the same!!

Please give me any suggestions or things you want me to try? Or tell me if I did something wrong to make it not work properly?

Okay Mark I tested this tonight...there was talks of the TCC boosting miracles when I tested...now I wonder if I only had TCC out when I cast KJ!

But this was annoying me so I did extensive testing tonight...here's the facts!

60 INt I had crown of dusk and 1st born ring on (not sure if they even matter tho)

I did the test on the same forest NPC so the dmg was referenced to the same adefense!

Just KJ - 563
KJ (holding MLGS in right) - 840
KJ (holding TCC in right) - 1070
