Well I kinda like the scimitar better than the falchion - I think it swings just a bit faster than the falchion does. Plus with the infinite supply of scimitars the crystal +4/+5 version is basically all I use so the damage output is adequate.

A lot of players ask me about the magic +5 grass shield (roughly 51 stability / 50% magic defense) - it works out pretty well since I also don't use it to block unless it's my only option. It can repel light attacks from Ricards, Velka's, rapier without much stamina drain and if you just use the grass shield for additional stamina regen and ripostes then it works out pretty well. I keep a normal +15 just in case though happy . When I want serious magic protection I switch over to the magic version of the warriors round shield and use the cloranthy for stamina regen.

Good deal.I think you mentioned to me before that you were using the T. Catch Pole. How is it working out in battle? I think I played around with the catch pole when I first started playing the game but I haven't since. I believe it does split damage (phy/magic) if my memory serves me right.

I love it. I'd probably be better off using the regular Scythe, but I like the way it looks better and I can't complain about my results with it so far. I believe it'd be a great weapon for your SL 317 to try out since it has D scaling in STR, DEX, and INT. I only have 9 INT on the character I'm using yet I can still get decent hits and chip damage. It's riposte damage is also very nice.

HAHA - I do love the mura (the crystal version is simply devastating - its the only thing I use in the forest). I may play with the catch pole on my SL317 just to determine if I can use it correctly. I do know the R1 (1H & 2H) is amazingly fast. Now that jump attack - I will leave that to more skillful individuals.

It was a great night of pvp in the moonpit. Once again the leo ring is a thing of beauty. In two of the fights (one against a killable mod toon) the LR was the difference between winning and losing. It was tough fight against the mod - I won with just 3 hp left:shock:.

@ Wolf - bro I think you went full hollow last night lol!.I think you felt like I did the night before - a couple of tough losses can crush your confidence somewhat. The mod you fought had crazy high HP - I didn't find out he was a mod til after my fight with him (only received 16k souls so his HP was artifically high - confirmed by the other player we were dueling with). These players are getting very devious with the modding - sometimes you don't know what your dealing with until its too late.

The experimentation continues - starting playing around with the server (crystal & normal versions) on my SL128 and it is very viable in pvp. It's an excellent substitute for the mura if u don't have the STR. The server's main drawback is it's reach of course but if you increase your poise to tank one shot you can really go to work with the server due to its excellent stunlocking. The AR is also pretty good. I consider the server the mura's little brother.

    Still evolving folks....

Good deal Joy - you are going to just love the forest. It is the best place to get some good pvp experience. As long as you handle losing some fights you will be ok. There is no feeling like beating a gank though. Welcome to the band of merry men (and women 8) ).

Thanks,I'm trying to get in the right mindset, not caring about the gankers.I find it helps if I think of it as a learning experience, that one day I'll be good enough to beat every gank squad.
And yeah,I love the feeling when you win.I smile every time.

Great job using the environment. Hopefully one day you will be able to lure them back there when the host has BPs - the little ones are the worst because they will swarm a host twisted .

Hey people just to keep things moving - just in case anyone on the thread (or board) isn't a sub on my channel here are a couple of new vids for the masses:

https://youtu.be/Xj1UTC-IzH4 (Some very good duels with a well known Youtube uploader - had to use everything I knew just to stay competitive lol )

https://youtu.be/al-tlxLF5NQ (Has couple of forest invasions near the beginning - I tell you the forest never changes. Note the modded Zwei one of the phantoms is using in the 1st forest invasion  .)

P.S.A - IF YOU ARE HAVING VIDEO/AUDIO SYNC ISSUES WITH THE VIDS - PLEASE TRY A DIFFERENT BROWSER (OR USE YOUTUBE APP ON XBOX) OR LOWER VID STREAMING QUALITY. IT APPEARS SOME VIEWERS CODECS (I.E. HW/SW) CANNOT HANDLE THE HD STREAM WHICH I CANNOT CONTROL.100% INTEGRITY OF THE VIDS HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY 3RD PARTY SO THE VIDEOS ARE NOT THE ISSUE.

    Enjoy!!

In regards to the Battle for DkS2 I use 2 of the following locations (dependent on participants having access to the DLC content of course - these area also areas I can host):

    - Ciarans/Abysswalker Arena
    - Township Chained Prisoner area (near lower Township bonfire)
    - Painted World (Bottom of Birdwomen Tower)
    - Moonpit
    - Royal Woods (open area at beginning)
    - Depths (Giant rat area)
    - The Burg (area near the tower with crossbow dude)

Are there other areas anyone can think of that would be good?
