I would suggest that the weapons of course be representative of the traditional dueling weapons....either that or some kind of competitive mini game.

Any one tried polo with the corpses of fallen enemies?

@ Viral: Of course we can change them. To be honest I don`t like them myself.

@ Dough: Well we can either go with only "traditional" weapons. That would mean only rapiers, straight swords, curved swords and light crossbows as pistol replacement.

But i´d actually prefer a less restrictive system frankly because the choice of weapon really was open to the challenged, hell apparently 2 frenchmen once dueled with billard-balls. Sojust asking weather or not a weapon can be used would be the most effective way.

I would demand Sabres....scimitars....I like Curved Swords...they be my weapons of choice!

Well in a traditional duel both players would trade shots one after the other until one player yields... I have an idea as to how to implement that!
