Crystal BSS

As everyone knows, BSSs are farmable weapons. Legitimately, this makes them good candidates for the crystal upgrade path. The thing is that they are extremely rare, because Balder Knights drop various pieces of their armors + titanite. Without BB glitch/trade, would you farm at least 10 BSSs and make them crystal +4????

They have 12 durability if crystal btw.

Without BB glitching I have 18 on one character (actually the 120 dex pyro with gmw I fought you with at the anor londo event)

Crystal +5 pushes BSS over 400 pure AR at 45dex which is a really big deal to me. I can't say I enjoyed farming them, because I didn't. But really I only use them for special occasions otherwise +15 is mostly fine

It's not so bad really. they die fast and who doesn't want 32 complete sets of baller armor? You can farm one every now and then and if you do save them for important fights / events they last a good long while. The slabs are the worst part of the farm IMO

I wouldn't farm for slabs, I'm ok with +4 crystal already haha.

I'm not sure if I think crystal +4 is far enough better than normal +15 to do such farming. Like most upgrade paths the highest AR increase is weighted on the final level.

Like 50 more AR maybe, depends on scaling too.

A crystal +4 rapier has same AR that a normal +15 Ricard's Rapier with 10 Str/40 Dex. It has the advantage of having higher critical, and can always be bought from the merchant.

Probably not, but, then again, maybe.

I don't use any crystal weapons. I might use them if someone gives them to me. But i'll never farm for them.
And that's because PvP is about having fun (IMO), and farming for stuff isn't fun. And if you put that much time into farming just to give yourself a minimal advantage then PvP is probably mostly about winning to you. (No offense, i'm not saying that it's a bed thing. It just means that you have a different mindset than me).

And crystal +4 Light Crossbows have same AR as a normal +15 Heavy Crossbow. Same power for lower weight. They can be farmed easily at the Burg's bonfire archer.

I actually find it fun to farm them. It's like I have to work hard if I want more power, and without having to resort on glitches is even more satisfying.

It might be fun for you, but it isn't for me (or maybe i'm just lazy).

To even attempt to play the game on equal footing time must be spent. No one started out great, but with practice we become better. Anyone who doesn't think time invested should reflect advantages (however small) is just wrong. Just because this advantage comes with stats rather than a skill like pivot parrying or unlocked CGFB doesn't make it any less of a reward to those who want to be the best they can.

Even when dough wants to make me now I don't.. Farming just one or two is painful enough, let alone so I can go crystal...
