Create you own Ring

thats pretty neat. i think it would be interesting to add a negative effect though, because that would add a lot more attention to the aura's. basically it would cause a lot more self-awareness about your characters state of health, being, ETC.

Ring of the chameleon

An ancient ring, crafted within the forests of Oolacille. It is bound to the chameleon spell, which also has its roots within Oolacille.

This ring gives you the ability to fight as whatever you may have taken the shape of, only being interrupted by taking damage by a foe.

(Stealthy grabs, quick movement etc. It also disables the ability to switch weapons until the spell is broken.)

Here are some I thought of:

Ring of Forgiveness: Grants the wearer forgiveness of sins committed. Resets any hostile NPCs. The forgiveness only occurs once the ring is equipped and then immideiately unequipped. Ring breaks when removed. Basically, if you have sins/hostile NPCs, you can equip this ring, then unequip it and be forgiven.

Ring of Temptation: Ancient warriors wore this ring to seek out worthy opponents without regard to time or space. Equipping/wearing this ring does away with the time delay after an invasion occurs (rather than using a dried finger). Increases the rate in which you are invaded by 50%. Also makes your duel sign (red soapstone) more visible to others!

Ring of Bartering: Wearing this ring causes non-hostile NPCs to be more welcoming to you. Reduces the cost of all items, repairs, upgrades, acensions, miracles, sorceries, pyromancies, etc. by 20%!

Holy Ring of Lord Gwyn
"This ring was made by Blacksmith Vamos as a gift to Lord Gwyn"
*Halves the time for cast pyromances, miracles and sorceries*

Ring of True Fog
"This misterious ring was found in the bottom of a river. No one know who mades it"
*Same effect as Fog Ring plus, you can walk through enemies. As a disvantage, you lose the ability to backstab*

Ring of the Deprived
"This ring was once the most valuable treasure of a long forgotten hero..."
*Hides your armor and makes you look like you are naked*

Ring of vindication: A ring that ehoes sin developed by darkwraiths who would hunt the hunters.

Wearing this ring gives permenant sin, although the black phantoms no longer pose a threat darkmoon blades will priotise you, damage is increased against darkmoon blades.

Ring of Steal....

Forged from the depths before the time of Dark came upon man,the wearer is granted 15% per 5sec of souls from the apparent foe for the duration of the battle.
If the foe as no souls it will drain there life at a rate of 0.5% per 5sec for the duration of the battle.

Ring of Chaos Might

Chaos Daemons are known for tormenting their victims, and this ring, born from the soul of a greater Chaos Daemon, shows this.

Your right hand weapon is on Fire, and upon hitting a target they take 50 Fire damage times your humanity (Max 10) over five seconds. While this ring is equiped, your right hand weapon deals 30% less damage and cannot be buffed. No effect on weapons that cannot be buffed.

Ring of Frampt
Once belonging to the fowl smelling serpent, King seeker Frampt, this ring was found between his unflossed teeth upon your arrival to the lordvessal chamber. It's origin is unknown, but you suspect it's last owner was the last "Chosen one"

This ring breaks upon use; after, it is found in the chest behind frampt. Using it transfers items the same way feeding them to Frampt would. It is said that if you feed this ring to Darkstalker Kaathe, theres a possibility of something special happening...

Ring of the Ambiesinister
Coming from the land of Berenike, this ring was often handled by those who were less than skilled with their right hand; It is said that the wearer of this ring will turn sinister, and fool many opponents.

The wearer is able to hold weapons in their left hand, the same way as a normal right hand. Shield hand is also switched respectively.

Skull ring
Myth has it that this ring came from a mighty necromancer who could steal magic...

Wearer is capable of holding one charge of the last spell they were cast upon. Must have empty attument slot.
*note: ring shows as regular item; having it in your items slots takes one ring slot away.*
*note: Doesnt scale with stats*

Ring of Truth
"With devotion, truth shall be revealed. The most devout shall understand and obey."

Covenant item, Princess Guard +3. Can only be used by Princess Guard.
Wearer acquires the constant effects of "Seek Guidance". Hidden/illusionary doors glow.


Basically, the devout will see what Gwynevere is truly about, and the most devout will still worship to bring her back. I know the princess guard doesn't level, so some mechanic would have to be put in.

Here's some mechanics that I will make off the top of my head;
Additional items: Gwynevere's wish.
Wishes are obtained after a victory has been won when a member of the princess's guard is present, and has used a healing miracle during battle. Must be summoned.

Ranks are gained by giving wishes obtained in victories to Gwynevere.
Rules of ranking go as other Covenants do; leaving the covenant will reset your rank.

Ranks:
Rank 1: 0 wishes Reward [ Ring of the Sun Princess ]
Rank 2: 10 wishes Reward [ Miracle: Great Heal]
Rank 3: 20 wishes Reward [Ring of Truth]

Yeah, with bonuses to healing depending on level. Just wish there was more group healing spells in this game.

Possibly, but then again that could leave room for abuse; I have always been a fan of support characters, but sometimes they are just as degrading to the game as they are useful. This would be great for helping out when summoned, however could be abused in PVP and actually somehow create a working "tank" build.

Viper Ring: Multiplies the damage of any poison or Toxin damage you inflict by six fold.



Because who is seriously going to worry about 3 damage a second? 18 per second is much, much more scary. And Toxin is only 30 damage a second, so it's not too out of line. Opens up a whole new play style in the game.

Ring of Lightened Steps:

Increases Maximum Equip load by 10%

Decreases Current equip load by 10 points

Nullifies all non-lethal fall damage

Ring of the Sniping Mage:

Allows all spells to be aimed as if shooting a bow if catalyst/talisman/pyromancy flame is 2 handed

doubles the range of all spells cast in this manner

Allows spells to benefit from headshots

Binding ring of Speed:

Allows light equip load movement with any equipment, BUT it will only work with the set that was worn when it was first equipped and only works with complete armor sets. New rings can be bound to different armor sets with a note appearing in the description to indicate which set the selected ring has bound to.

Ring of Soulfire:

Allows pyromancy to scale with any stat of your choice, but this choice cannot be changed once made until the next playthrough.

OP. Don't equip it until you're wearing full havels/giants.

Multipilicity of Evil Ring

When worn, the wearer generates phantoms in his vicinity that could be mistaken for his own body.

Basically you mirror yourself the way Pinwheel does to confuse people in PVP. The phantoms do no damage and are dispersed when struck, but you keep spawning them up to three at a time. Wouldn't be too hard to figure out but if you are clever and a little lucky you could use it to get in a good trick attack.



And for dramatic effect, when a phantom is struck and dispersed it goes out with a cackling laugh.

Ring of Deathly Endurance

Wearer receives 50% stamina regeneration speed, but each successful hit returns half the damage dealt to the wearer. A high risk vs reward.

Ring of Humanity

Wearer is much more likely to gain humanity from fallen foes, but upon his/her death a curse shall be inflicted.

Ring of False Hope

Upon death, wearer has a small chance of instead gaining full health and strength and endurance bonus. Otherwise, the ring is lost forever. Again a high risk versus reward, it might give you a second chance, or you might have just wasted a ring slot.

Made to combat an ancient race of warriors from a far Eastern land who favor deception and illusion to appear from the front yet attack from behind with vicious killing blows.

Protects the wearer from 50% of the damage incurred during backstab attacks, reflecting 45% of the intended damage back on the attacker.

Saluman's blessing

A ring for dedicated pyromancers. Granted to his most favoured student. Doubles the amount of castings pyromancys only.
Raises fire defence by 20%
Increases damage on fire weapons
Stacks with charcoal resin

Has a slight reduction on magic and lightning defence

How great would it be to watch a lag stabber/BS fisher kill themselves by BSing you? It'd have to have a great animation to accompany it though.
