Are you pre-level 25? I heard they did something about griefing, but obviously have no way of checking.

Nope this is NG+ and I'm SL 94. Why would they do that to stop griefing? I can't get the ember and more importantly finish the play through. I'm pretty sure they patched kiln jump as well...

Yup, sounds like you're pretty ***.
I always DW too, but I only go for the Kings once I beat Anor/have the LV.

Well, this is pretty awkward then. I will be using trades to get this DEX guy some gear I guess. Really rubs salt into the wound after rebuilding my STR character after "DATA NOT FOUND". Really looking forward to my mage now...
