I love strategy games and this one looks so sweet!!! Unfortunately I don't have a gaming computer, and this won't be hitting consoles, like the rest of the awesome strategy games. I remember when I used to play Sim City/Ant, Rome: Total War, Red Alert, Civilization. FML

I've been watching that game with some interest too. Since I plan to be trading up in terms of computer as windows 8 hits (so all the windows 7 comps become cheaper) I might try and get it then, as for civ that isnt too intensive...
Think we should try and get a forum civ 4 match going some time?

Dan I didn't understand what you're trying to say. I lost the games some years ago. Just found out that xcom is available for consoles.

Yeah, it's on both XBox and PS3. I preordered it from Amazon and they screwed up the shipping so I'm not pleased. But hopefully it's good once it actually gets here.

Re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Finally got to it last night as well, it is a lot of fun. In many way as good as the original, plus with upgraded modernized gameplay. One big negative for me though is that physical terrain doesn't seem to do very much; you can get shot through multiple pieces of cover or even through solid walls etc as if there is no hit detection on shots like in the original game. So it is less tactical and more about playing the percentages. Plus overwatch is unpredictable so I've had alien mobs pop up and shoot one of my guys on the other side of the map even though my guy was both on overwatch (so he should have shot first) and behind numerous pieces of cover. Prepare to reload a lot.

Re: XCOM: Enemy Unknown
I just saw a review for it yesterday, I've never been a big fan of strategy games, but I heard that is quite a bit of a challenge to beat so I'm probably going to check it out just because of it's difficulty.
