I only read fantasy, so reading something else might be a nice change.

Re: Forum Book Club
This could be interesting..... Im picky about the books I read though because with work I dont have the time to read that I used to. Years ago Id go through a book a week, now its a book a month or so. So not sure I can fully participate, but would like to see the suggestions and discuss any Im able to read.

Sign me up, a potential problem though could be finding ways to supply people with the literature.
It can get pretty expensive dropping $15 every month on a new book at the Barnes & Noble.

That's why you become a member and all. And most soft covers are only 10 bucks. At least, up here in Washington.

Anyone gonna say anything? If no one says anythin', I'll just start a book by myself. It's over 500 pages, though.

Right now, I recommend Gaunt's Ghosts. Oh 300 words, not 300,000 ...

300 pages, not 300 words silly besides we need some good starting books. we can always move up to longer books later if everyone is game

Re: Forum Book Club
Ok back in action here, sorry was away. No need to rush into it just yet, we still haven't set our exact format yet. To make it round we can shoot to start first of next month? Or is everyone itching to go asap? Bunnywink, you seem to have a knack for organizing so if you are willing to help this busy ol admin with the formatting and whip duties, it would be most appreciated! If everyone comes to an accord quickly, then I am all for starting soon. I know that there are some smaller monthly costs, so I recommend going digital where you can, and for people to be mindful of that when choosing books. We should probably set a price limit in the $15 range.

Re: Forum Book Club
Emergence, I would be happy to help.
As for cost, if that is an issue, there are eBooks available online. PDF versions which you can easily read from a computer screen. And, you know, libraries!!!

Re: Forum Book Club
Hi, my name is bunnywink and I'm a bookaholic. In my spare time, I like to crawl into the pages of a book and get lost for an afternoon or two.
We can start ASAP or November. If we are going with Mixed method of choosing the books... "Members rotate each month, with the member whose turn it is proposing 3 different titles; members then vote to select 1 book out of the 3 choices."
Since Emergence started the idea, I nominate him to suggest three books for us. We can vote on those three books and then just go down the list on first post in terms of who is up next month? Does that sound fair?

In page 2,it was decided that YOU would start :!:
So I guess everyone agrees,by majority, that you should post 3 books and we shall vote for the one we want to read.
