I need some coop help for my squishy sl60 mage with Kalameet, but never see any signs down by the fog gate. I assume summoning is still possible even though Artorias is gone, given that I had to off him to get this far -- am I just in the wrong sl range to summon anyone? Or did I break my ability to summon somehow?

First. I can't help (GOD DAMN MONEY.).
Second. Isen't Soul lvl 60 a little bit low? Buff it up to 80-100?
And im sure people will start putting down Signs after a while.

(IF YOU CAN REACH LVL 100 AND WAIT UNTIL SATURDAY. I CAN MAYBE HELP YOU)

I'de love to help too if you bumped up to at least Sl 85, I've got a 100 ready with a Scythe, which I've noticed does kinda well with cutting the tail.

Also, to answer your question. Yes, you should be able to summon even though Artorias is dead since I've been summoned to help with Kalameet as well while the fog to Artorias was gone.

I'm trying to stay at sl60 with this guy so I can coop in Anor Londo later, but thanks for the offers. I was just curious as to why I saw no signs down on the valley floor, when I was getting similar coop summon traffic with Artorias nearby (suggesting there are lots of similarly leveled hosts in the area). I actually had people summon me from my sign down near Kalameet's fog gate to go up and fight Artorias, but then when I'd turn around and try to summon others myself I wouldn't see anything.

.....THAT'S BRILLIANT! (what to use to reach his tail).

I am SL 50 and I see tons of summon signs. So at 60 it must not be so hard as well.

I still haven't killed him, or got his tail. I fought someone in the arena with the sword though, god damn that is a large and powerful aoe. I hear you pretty much need help getting the tail, getting the tail from the gaurdian seemed fairly difficult too

Getting the tail from the Guardian is easier solo I think, but for Kalameet help definitely makes it better. If you try to get the tail solo you need to wait for his dive attack or get lucky with his medium range flame attack, and depending on the whims of his AI he may use these attacks very little.

I got the tail last night with the chaos blade, which worked in I think 5 or 6 hits. I eventually did it by continually backing up until there was enough distance for him to try to fly at me, then rolling left out of the way of his lunge, then rolling right as soon as I recovered to put me back under his tail. It took a few tries but eventually worked.

I don't remember if I posted this already or not, but if you have a good shield you don't even need to dodge that fly attack, it won't harm you and you will be perfectly placed for the tail slam without having to roll.

Did eventually see a sign down there, but it was a guy waiting on a friend. Going to try up near Artoria; I was getting invaded as well so it seems like even with Artorias gone the whole area stays coop/pvp open as long as Kalameet is around (I don't have the PC version so am new to all this). But cooping Kalameet is extremely fun, and getting his tail is pretty tricky. Best weapons I've seen people use are the scythe overhand swipes, and a large club actually. I also got lucky and blew it off with a crystal soul spear for someone else, heh.

Does the red eye curse thing he puts on you sometimes act like the calamity ring?

It does act as the calamity ring but it wears off. If you can buff up, youll be able to see my sign, im lvl 92 i believe. Im currently helping people with artorias but if you see Shindori, feel free to summon me. It'll be a long fight though. Im very cautious when it comes to that flying bat from hell.

Kalameet definitely is a fun boss! big grin The tanks seems to struggle with him though. After you kill Artorias and go down to confront Kalameet the first time (to get Gough to shoot him), the area opens up for invasions again happy Smart move really!
