by robsthedon Sat Nov 10, 2012 7:45 amI want to make a str build either Demons Great Machete or Black Knight Greartsword. DGM has a bit more AR no dex req but is heavy. BKGS requires dex but is lighter and low AR. Help please.

DGM, without a doubt.
If youre not planning on using any other BK weapons I would never put 18 points in dex just for BKGS, and the DGM is imo overall a much better weapon.

My 2 cents: If you are not planning to go full dragon body, don't raise your dex to 18. But with dragon body you don't have to level up endurance more than 40 so you could easily put some extra points to dex.

this is what i use http://tinyurl.com/a6oaj8w, i can take two katana hits and when in low vit i switch to rtsr for that last hit that will probably kill him, the light xbow with rtsr activated does around 400 or more and about 800 when you get a headshot.

Go DGM definitely. I always have an elemental Pike ready to menu swap and Great Combustion/Black Flame for easy finish off.

Thanks fellas, DGM it is, might have to be Dragon body tho, so damn heavy, would prefer light armour, but no room in sl100 me thinks, I can have a nice big shield instead
